The two piece turkey pan by mastertouch327.com is great. 5 screws and the top lifts from the base for easy tuning. Only took 5 days to get after ordering it. Nice price too.

I had my removable TP custom fabbed by ERA, but I had a recent PM exchange with someone who was asking where you could find one now, and I couldn't remember. This is a timely post.

I measured twice and drilled holes in the sides to be able to get to the the carb adjustment screws. Also, came up with the biggest air cleaner that would fit inside the TP (9" with an extreme top) using a custom base plate that I fabricate. Not meant to be an advertisement here, but my base plates and the whole air cleaner setup are available from Mickmate, including the trick Quik-latch push button hold-down.

Ok, that did sound like an ad. Sorry, honestly just wanted to pass on the info.

I'll be running a turkey pan soon, but I don't agree with the manufacturer's maths.

MASTERTOUCH327.COM

2" x 10" = 20 square inches. = .13888 square feet.

60 miles/hour = 1 mile per minute.

1 mile = 5280 feet

5280 x .13888 = 733.3 cubic feet per minute.

They claim 8000 cubic feet per minute.

That means somehow this scoop is supplying about 10 times the volume the engine needs.

You would need a scoop of 1.5 square feet to get 8000 cfm.

I agree with Patrick's first post. If you like the car without the pan just keep it. To the drag racers that little bit of power increase is important. If you are just going to drive the car and cruise with it, you won't even notice any of that power increase.
