Default 15" Torque-Thrush's on a Superformance ?

A friend of mine the other day, asked if installing a set 15" Torque-Thrust, 10.5" rear, 8" front was even possible? This SPF, is a 2004 with the T-Bird IRS. So 5 or 6 pin hub? I would assume if 6-pin, that would not be doable anyway. Has anyone got any info. to help my friend out. I don't believe even the cost, would be a deciding factor, just would like them on his SPF. Thank you TommyRot.

I do not believe SPF ever offered a six pin hub for their cars that I recall, Tommy. Additionally unless the wheels were made for the pin drive spinner retained methodology used by SPF he would have to do some modifications to the wheel hubs.

I suspect, but do not know with certainty, that when you remove the pin drive lug nuts you will need to replace the SPF provided studs with conventional wheel studs to retain the wheels. Of course if he has found a set of pin drive Torq Thrust's (does such a wheel exist?) the conversion is simpler.

Thank you Ed, This was just a idea he came up with and asked if I could help in any way. So you SPF guys always have my answer's, on your cars I would suspect if it was a 5-pin hub and replace the pin's with lug's Easy-peesy. Or maybe just change the whole hub assy. He said he has no problem with that, More Ideas ??? Cheers TommyRot.

Just remove the 5 pin adaptor and use the lug nuts to secure the wheel. Standard Ford PCD. And I have a set of Superformance bolt on wheels available with "Halibrand" style inserts that are retained by a "knock-off" as used on early cars. Makes a good bolt on wheel for track use as some sanctioning bodies require a locking system for true knock-offs.

Thank you Mark IV, for the heads-up. If that is all it takes to retain 5-lug wheel's, perfect! This gentlemen is bound & determined to install a set of 15"Torque Thrush's on his SPF. Cheers.
