Default Ron Weingart Passing

Friends,

I just learned from Este Katzman, Ron Weingart's daughter, that Ron passed away on Friday

Ron has been battling brain cancer for the past 10 months.

Ron, was a good friend and also a fellow Daytona Coupe owner.

I have maintained that our passion for Cobras has created many lifelong friendships. And Ron was a wonderful friend who I will miss .

The following note is from Este.

Please keep Ron and his family in your prayers.

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Ronald C. Weingart on Friday, September 17, 2021. Beloved husband of Sherri Weingart, father of Esté Katzman, Dana Zoulin and Lacey Mackey. Grandfather of McKenna Katzman, Jacey, Vaughn and Everly Zoulin, and Judah and Benjamin Mackey.
As some of you may know, Ron was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive terminal brain cancer, at the end of 2020. After a heroic battle, he passed peacefully and surrounded by his family, which meant the most to him in life.
Please share this announcement with those you believe would appreciate knowing of Ron’s passing as we were not able to gather a comprehensive list of everyone Ron was close to.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation in the memory of Ronald C. Weingart.
The family requests no visitors at this time, however, cards may be mailed to:
The Weingart Family
3836 Castle View Drive
Agoura, CA 91301
A funeral and memorial service honoring Ron's life will be held at Groman Eden Memorial Park on Monday or Tuesday, A confirmation email will be sent on Sunday.

Sorry to hear this. In addition to his Daytona Coupe, Ron had a very wild Austin-Healey 3000. I had a few good conversations with Ron when I wrote about his Healey. A very nice guy: http://bighealey.org/NastyBoy/Issue_8_2016.pdf
