				 Fia
New to considering Superformance and looking for input. I have an opportunity to buy a new FiA roller, no drive train. Seems like they are hard to come by? Can anyone tell me if this is a good brand and what experiences folks have had with their products. Any comments would be appreciated at this point. They certainly seem to sell a lot of cars and have the Shelby name/endorsement. Best way to find out is to ask current owners I thought. Thanks. |

Can't go wrong with a Superformance FIA. It's a well built and beautiful car. Strong enough to race. I get more people taking pictures of my car on a race weekend than any other car in the paddock.

Thanks. | If you can find a reasonably priced SPF 289 FIA roller in a color that appeals to you, go for it. Ross Henry did the initial design work on the car, and his attention to detail is second to none. Where you need to watch, is the installer, some are exceptionally talented, others not so much, and have been known to modify things from the roller that worked perfectly as they were designed and intended, vs the final product from said, not so savvy installer.

Bill S.

PS: If this is a blue, BRG, or silver roller, (essentially not black, or bright red) and you choose to pass on it, please PM me with the information as I am semi-seriously in the market, and for the right car, have cash in hand.

PS: All kidding aside, your FIA is the top of the game these days, form and function over show and shine. Something I am striving to duplicate, but in Silver, BRG, or Blue

Bill S. | Apparently SWHMBO missed having a rollbar brace tube in knee and so the 289 Street Roadster just didn't cut it!

The roadster being too sedate and understated for her likes

I had some minor involvement with the development of the MKII Street and FIA cars and I can tell you Ross left no stone unturned during the development. It was and still is his passion. And I completely agree that the drivetrain installer can make all the difference in the world on the final product. We also have Owners Manuals and Wiring Diagrams for all the 289 cars. And a great Service Bulletin package is available too.Blas

Large, easy to read and trace schematics with part numbers, wire colors, wire gauge, fuses, and electrical upgrade information. Trouble-shooting and replacement part numbers for those roadside repair adventures.
