Glove box lockset source?

Before you start drilling anything, check the glovebox keys from a few other SPF owners. My fuel cap lock can be opened by a friends cap lock key...
Maybe you'll get lucky too...

JMHO, if your locksmith can't pick a glovebox lock then he/she isn't much of a locksmith. "Destroy the cylinder..."

I just told the locksmith to "go home". The nerve...he wanted $125 plus service charge $25 plus parts. Stay away from the listings in the yellow pages that say "24 hour emergency etc etc..." and "A locksmith etc..." There must have been a hundred listings and 4 different people called me back before an actual locksmith called to come to the house. Now I'm worried the guy cased my house @##$!&!

I'll call Hillbank...see what they have. And I found a locksmith in town that says he might be able to pick the lock.

Whew!, The local guy not only picked the lock cleanly, he was able to reset the tumblers so I could use the existing ignition key for it as well. All for $40 and a couple of "muscle cars" stories.
