SPF Parts
Does anyone know of any locations that carry Superformance parts (other than Hillbank, they always seem to be out of everything)? You guys will like this one... the "high beam" button on the back of my signal arm cracked and fell off. The metal piece/switch still works the high beams so I don't even know if it's worth replacing. Any insight for these, or other obsure parts, would be appreciated.

try any of the other SPF dealers .....when I replaced my entire light switch arm/ steering column assembly years ago, I discovered it was a 60s era VW Bug part - available thru Bug parts suppliers or SPF Dealers . I got mine from Dynamic, I think it was about $150 for the entire stalk/steering column assembly. I can't find my invoice and prices would be higher now anyway I suspect . Bill

I've found it almost impossible to get the Hillbank parts dept. on the phone or even to get them to return a phone call, so I've been buying all my parts from Dynamic. They have been great to deal with.
BTW, if anyone likes the Jordan shifter listed on the Olthoff site, you can save $55 (wow!) buying it at Second Strike.

I second vanoochka on Hillbank's parts department. If need to order something it takes me 3 to 4 weeks to just get in contact with Justin to place the order. I call and email with no to little response. I will give Dynamic or Olthoff a try for my business.

There are a bunch of Superformance Dealers out there and their inventories will differ so calling around first is the best bet. To find the one closest to you, check out their map. I keep the numbers of all the guys in my little black book.

Hillbank has a ton of parts in stock ( I live close and have seen there stock). I would ask for Barry if you have problems there. Barry and Lance have always helped me with anything I needed.

Ordered a fan relay from Hillbank in March 07. January 08 still had'nt received it. Was told they misplaced my order and would receive a refund. It's now April 08 and no refund. This has been going on for over a year. It's only a $16.00 part. I just gave up. Now I'm just venting. Now deal with Olthoff. Great sevice.

Yup. Of course, it helps a little that they are a mere 20 minute drive from my office. :)

When I actually talk to someone at Hillbank they have been helpful. No complaint there. They are just too busy for my business. I have been trying to order several items for over a week now. They don't return calls (I have Justin's direct line) and they don't return emails.

I heard somewhere that they may be under new management so maybe that's it. I like to keep as close to these guys as possible and like to keep in close touch with them.

Well, it was a budget build. I got a 460 out of a old dump truck, it didn't smoke or anything and ran pretty smooth so I put some chrome on it with a 500 two barrel.I used the second strike carb calculator and it worked perfect. I get great gas mileage and if I floor it and pop the clutch it will chirp the tires. The 144 is rwhp so I think its really over 200hp. Pretty good for a $400. One day I hope to put a small block in it so it's faster.

Mike,
Just drive over to Bug City on the Berlin Turnpike. Save the hassle.
