It could not have gone to a more deserving person. What an awesome gesture by the factory in South Africa (Jim Price, Ronnie Kruger, et al) and Superformance owner Lance Stander.

SPO3000 coming soon

I toured the factory as part of the SCOF Safari to South Africa. Car #2984 was only one day away from completion and its owner flew in from China to see it and tour the factory. The last time I saw him he was standing beside the car like an expectant father. I hope he got out of the factory before they turned out the lights.

The first pieces of #3000 should show up in the chassis jig in the next couple of weeks, and yes it already has an owner. Jim Price, owner of Hi-Tech Automotive and Lance Stander, owner of Superformance have given SPO3000 to a SCOF member in recognition of his committment to promoting Superformance cars, providing technical assistance to owners, and working with the dealers and factory to improve the cars. Once he gets over the shock of being given SPO3000, he'll be able to specify how he wants the car equipped. As the car is built, it will be signed by all the workers, to commemorate the special relationship between the people who build the cars and the people who own them.

As they say on TV: Trip to South Africa, $4800; Bar tab from Capetown to Port Elizabeth, $200; Finding out you'll be the owner of SPO3000, priceless! Congratulations RT!

2984 belongs to tin-man

Just came back from Hi-Tech Automotive in Port Elizabeth S.A. after seeing my SPF 2984 get finishing touches before it got put into a container. Awesome factory and the new Perana Z-One Designed by Zegato is a fabulous piece of work, not a roller but a complete car with a 6.2l V8, 442 HP, 430# of torque and will go 0-100 km/hr in sub 4 seconds. Its got a healthy price tag though of around 120 large. visit www.perana.com for more details. SPF 3000 is absolutely taken, guaranteed. I was there when it was reserved.

If someone can tell me how to upload pics I will be grateful, since I want to start my gallery. Thanks tin-man:)

If the tour group only spent US$200 on the bar tab from Capetown to Port Elizabeth, you got off light, the dude from China dropped that an more on the night of the special dinner. And yes I did manage to get out of the factory before they turned out the lights. Congratulations to RT, well deserving.tin-man

Bar Tab

That was $200 per person. Actually quite cheap considering the amount of wine and alcohol consumed. I found the food and drink extremely cheap, especially considering most of it was purchased in 4 and 5 star hotel bars.

I emale the new owner all the time. He mentioned to me that he's putting an LS7 crate motor under the hood. Something about the reliable power, and having the noize of the exhaust rickoshaying off the canyon walls.

Opps, I think I here Eileen coming down the steps, so I better turn off the monitor so she thinks I'm still in a medicated stupor.

McVette/former owner of SPF931, but my roof is two years old

"I emale the new owner all the time. He mentioned to me that he's putting an LS7 crate motor under the hood."

MCD00, you misunderstood him. He wants to go green. He will be installing a 19.2 volt Craftsman lithium ion battery. Very excited about it. However, he also mentioned something about using a generator from his Dad's house if the LI battery combo doesn't work out.
