I'm glad I'm not the only one doing that except is sure is HOT in my garage but slowly making progress. Jay....check me on this as this is how SCAT has done it in the past.....that's 1 stanchion every 10' across the front and 1 every 20' down the sides which is how I came up with which is 14 for the section of 10 cars and 8 for the section of 4 cars........can't wait....can't wait!!!! All of you please read your registration packets for any info on how cars are judged and what to expect.....PLEASE MAKE SURE no more than 1/8 tank of gas and after you are in place disconnect battery. This is per Fire Marshall. You WILL NOT be allowed in with more than 1/8 tank of gas and show has no way of draining so do it before you get there. I'm working on placement of cars for the show as I write this........also anyone wanting to show up on Thursday evening to help layout of spaces and check out the place you are more than welcome and North Texas Mustang Club will welcome the help. The more people the quicker it goes....

I'm ready to roll

Gary

Cool good math gary

GARY, THE STANCHION POSITIONS ARE CORRECT BUT WE MAY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE WHITE CHAINS. I DON'T KNOW HOW MMUCH TOM HAS BUT EACH RENTED STANCHION ONLY COMES WITH 7' OF WHITE CHAIN. WE CAN USE WHITE PULL TIES FOR THAT PROBLEM AND JOIN THE CHAINS TOGETHER.

JOHN ROSS, PLEASE BRING THE WHITE CHAINS THAT YOU HAVE AT YOUR PLACE WITH YOU WHEN YOU COME. THANKS.

WE MAY NEED TO HAVE SOME SAND FOR THE BASES I WE ARE GOING 20' BETWEEN. I WILL CHECK ON THE BASES THIS WEEK.

IF NEED BE WE CAN USE WHITE NYLON ROPE INSTEAD OF CHAIN BUT I THINK WE ARE OKAY NOW. WE WILL KNOW ON SET UP DAY.

GARY DO YOU WANT TO GET THE BIG BANNER EARLY SO IT CAN BE HUNG ON THURSDAY EVENING? LET ME KNOW. IT'S READY BUT I NEED TO PICK IT UP AND MAKE SURE IT HAS ENOUGH GROMMET HOLES FOR PROPER HANGING. IF NOW I MAY RIG SOME LIGHT CONDUIT FOR STRENGTH.

JAY

What are we doing for flooring.
Is each person going to provide there own carpet.
Are we not going to use carpet and use the cookie sheet idea in the info packet.
Is there a cheap way we can get the whole group to look the same?

John

Jay...yes I will try to pick up the banner asap as I would like to take it over on Thursday night when we lay out the floor and put it with the others than will be hung Friday morning. If you think about it call me at work.

John....the displays are kind of left up to the individual...some will want more and some less but we are pretty much on our own.

Default Bringing my own flooring

John,

I am bringing my own floor covering. It is a large bear skin rug and mr. meadows will be sprawled across it wearing nothing more than his leopard skin bikini thong and a smile.............

I am sure to win with a trophy with that!

Smile 2 CENTS

PERSONAL OPINION IS THAT THE ENTIRE GROUP SHOULD LOOK THE SAME AS FAR A S FLOOR COVERING GOES. I THINK THE PATCHWORK QUILT LOOK WOULD NOT PRESENT A GOOD APPEARANCE. AGAIN, JUST MY TWO CENTS.

Are you saying you don't want me to use Tom as my exhibit prop?

Default Changes.....changes

Well just when I thought I had it figured out.....seems like now instead of our group being 10 cars....and 4 cars....we are all 1 group of 14 in sort of a horseshoe set up....so now I have to re-arrange the cars AGAIN.....but I'm not complaining Let's see now ERA,Superformance, Classic or was that blue, black green......decisions..decisions.

I'm going over Thursday night to help out along with John Russel, James B. and Matt T. Anyone else decides to come help let me know.

Rolling along

Gary

Cool SO FAR

PICKED UP 8 STANCHIONS AND CHAIN FROM THE PREZ THIS EVENING.

JOHN ROSS ARE YOU BRINGING MY WHITE CHAIN? PLEASE LET US KNOW, THANKS.

KINGAIR, I HAVE YOUR BRACELET THAT YOU LEFT AT TOM'S AND WILL BRING IT FRIDAY.

GARY, I WILL PICK UP THE BANNER WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY MORNING TO HAVE READY FOR YOU. HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THE LAYOUT. ARE ALL THE CARS ABLE TO BE POSITIONED WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR OPEN? IF NOT I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST THAT KEITH'S CAR BE THAT WAY SO THAT THE GHOST PIT STRIPE SHOWS.

ARE WE ALL GOING TO GO WITHOUT THE CARPET(I HOPE SO)?

SORRY, I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE THERE ON THURSDAY EVENING BUT WITH 6 GRANDKIDS IN TOWN AND TRYING TO PUT A SURPRISE ON KEITHS CAR FOR THE SHOW, TIME IS AT A PREMIUM RIGHT NOW

I WILL PICK UP THE OTHER STANCHIONS ON FRIDAY MORNING ON THE WAY TO THE SHOW.

SINCE I'M GOING TO BE VERY RUSHED DOES ANYONE WANT TO HELP DETAIL KEITHS CAR ?

JAY

Default Dang, I'm Sc***** again- but only for Thursday night!

Gary,
I have a board meeting for J.L.Long Middle School P.T.A.Thursday night at 7:00, & unfortunately for the rest of them, I have a report to give since this is the first meeting for the year! Criminy, I guess I am going to have to wait until Friday to see this gig, & like Gary said, "I CAN'T WAIT"!!

Default It's almost time!!

John.....no problem....you just miss a wee little of the fun

Jay....I will hook up with you sometime Thursday afternoon to get the banner on the way over. I have heard of many different things that are going to be used under the cars and it's just what each individual wants to do. I have all the cars set up so that the right side is showing. Don't know of anyone else wanting to open their door but that's just personal preference. I know a door has to be open but usually in the past most people open the door not facing the public about and inch or so to satisfy the judges....to each their own.

I'm almost READY to GO....yeah right

Yes Jay, I will bring your white chains out Friday.

I may be able to get out there Thursday night to help. We'll see how my cleaning and hunt for a trailer goes. If not I'll see ya Friday afternoon, I expect to get there about 12 or 1.

Default hook up

GARY, GIVE ME A CALL THIS EVENING ON THE CELL, 972-742-2594 AND LETS TALK ABOUT SOME THINGS. SIX GRANDKIDS ARE DRIVING ME NUTS. TOMORROW A.M. IS FOSSIL RIM IN GLEN ROSE. THEN PICK UP SOME PARTS IN FT. WORTH. THEN PICK UP THE SURPRISE FOR KEITHS CAR IN ARLINGTON. THEN HOME TO UNWIND AND INSTALL SURPRISE.

THE BANNER NEEDS SOME WAY TO SUPPORT IT SINCE THE SIGN SHOP ONLY PUT TWO GROMMETS IN THE TOP. I THINK I KNOW AND HAVE THE ANSWER IN THE SHOP. I NEED VALIUM AND SCOTCH BUT SINCE THE FATHER OF THE GRANDKIDS IS A BAPTIST MINISTER,,,FAT CHANCE THERE.

FURTHER REPORTS FROM THE NEWLY RENOVATED BAT CAVE WILL COME WHEN TIME PERMITS

Jay

I have a 5ft piece of 1 1/2" square box PVC that would work well for the banner support. Let me know if you want it.
