Saturday 03-13-10 Cruise? (DFW Crowd)

If the weather cooperates, is anyone interested in meeting up and taking a drive this Saturday? If there's interest, I'll put together a nice route that would start around 10:00 AM. (I don't like waking up at the crack of dawn) I'm thinking about cruising down to Granbury, TX., eating lunch on the square and then having some driving fun by driving North on F.M. 4.

If there's interest then please let me know and I'll put together the exact time and locations to meet and a more definite route. And like I said, if the weather is too cold or wet I would probably want to reschedule for a different weekend.

If you've never driven/ridden on FM 4, it's a pretty fun road to drive.

Suffering build frustration and could do with some quality time out of the garage, if you don’t mind me following at the rear in my daily driver, count me in.

Bwana Snake 03-11-2010 06:55 PM

Fraser,

Don’t tag along, find some one with an empty right seat and hop in; just ask.....you will be surprised at the response.

If I was going to be in town you could ride with me. Hey guys, step up and make an offer.

Gary

Gary,

Great idea, if anyone would like a co-pilot always willing to share gas $$.

Also looking for a ride on the Saturday afternoon at the sping meeting, I will be at the event from Friday morning till Sunday if there are any takers.

The part of FM 4 that I have planned runs between Granbury and Palo Pinto. You would swear you were in Texas Hill Country.. Then we'll be getting on US180 and coming back east through Mineral Wells and Weatherford. It's up to the group if we stop, but we'll be going right by the future planned site for the National Vietnam War Museum.

There's a little to see there right now and there will be a nice photo op for getting photos of Cobras UNDER a UH-1 Helicopter.

Sorry Fraser, I'd normally be more than glad for you to ride with me, but my wife will be coming along this time.

Joe:

It looks like I will out for this one. We will be at our lake place on Eagle Mountain (in Azle) all weekend and part of next week. If you want to add a stop out there on your circuit just let me know and I will send directions.

Sounds like a blast...sorry I will miss it!

Anybody from the "East" side going?

Joe Wicked 03-12-2010 10:30 AM

I was planning on going, but I forgot I am doing some Home Entertainment installations this tomorrow. I am having my friend (Home Theater Pro) help hang a new TV in the bedroom and hide all wires, creating an access panel in the wall with the plugs and outlets in there.

Meeting Time & Place

The meeting location to meet up with Westsiders will be at the Circle K at Winscott / I-20 in Benbrook. It's on the NW corner and should be an easy off, easy on location. I'll be there by10 A.M. and will plan on leaving at about 10:30 A.M.

allen_cobra 03-12-2010 04:05 PM

damdfw 03-12-2010 07:47 PM

Can't make it.

I'm oncall for work this weekend and next. I can't be that far away just in case. It does sound like a great road trip.

You guys have fun.
