Sunday cruise in North Texas
Weather cancelled last weekends trip but looks to be cooperating this one. Anyone interested in a Sunday drive to Possum Kingdom or another fun day trip? Open to any and all suggestions but lets cruise while the weathers good!

West Siders; let's meet at the McDonalds in Decatur @ 9:15 Sunday AM. Micky D's is on Hwy 287 just a quarter mile south of 280. My cell 214-533-3168
Others; we can meet at Legacy and 121 (NW corner) @ 8:00; or if your a little further West there's a Harley dealer @ Shady Shores and I-35, (exit at Shady Shores and circle South on the access road)we can be there around 8:15. Let us know if your coming so we can keep an eye out, it should be a beautifl day!

Wish I could make it but I have to stay close to home. My wife may be going into labor anytime now. If not this weekend then it will be here on Monday.

North on Legacy underneath Hwy 121, now your on the North side of hwy 121; turn immediately left into the shops and restaurants (Cantena Larado stands out) now your on the west side of Legacy. Pull into the parking area in front of Cantena Larado we'll meet there @ 8:00.

A tip from a "local".
When you get to Palo Pinto, go south on 4 toward Santo. That road is one of the best in "these parts". When you get through the south end of the canyon, you can just turn around, do it again, and re-join your route. If you're that close it would be a shame to just drive by it.

I was going to mention the same thing. FM-4 between US180 and IH-20 is great! I drive that road every chance I get. Sorry I won't be able to make the cruise. Looks like you guys have a really nice route planned out! Enjoy! |

I've got to bow out on this one. Still working on my clutch.
The weather looks to be in fine form for you all and that route looks to be one of the best that North Texas has to offer. Everybody be safe.

I'll need to pass this time. I did a 175 mile cruise Saturday so I need to stick around here Sunday and finish up a project.
Be sure to take that "side trip" down 4. It will be the best "Cobra road" you'll see all day. It froze out there Friday morning so the trees may be turning a bit. The deer are rutting, so keep an eye out for them, even in mid day.
