Looking good Gary, exciting time! It must have cooled off down thar.

Yes finally cooled off in Dallas and much more enjoyable working on the Cobra now. The car is a Exact Cobra made with Carbon Fiber built by Roger Bolick in Austin, Texas. There has been several posts about his cars over the last 3 years especially with the red one Double Ugly built. The car is a perfect replica of a CSX and I would say if you had a Shelby ID label on it you wouldn't know the difference other than the quality of his car far exceeds the CSX4000s. He built and sold 10 cars and is building a new demo car right now. His focus has been to design and manufacture more of the parts he uses and start making large quanities to build another 10 cars and also sell replacement and improved parts to Cobra owners. For you CSX and Kirkham owners out there.....check out the 4 bolt motor mounts he built that are on my car in pic above. He is going to sell those as an example.

Very, very nice Gary!!!!!!!!!
Now get back to work. March is coming up quickly. Hope to see you in San Marcos. |
Well here is an update. Took off a couple afternoons this week and made great progress. Only things left to do;
. Bleed brakes . Put big rear fan on the key switch . Put front fans on dash empty toggle switch . Install speedo reverser . Install new cool shifter. Roger built a 1 piece shifter for the TKO 600 that replaces the arm going into the trans and the shifter that bolts to it, . Align the car . Dyno it and install speedo trans gear. Going to try and get all of the above done tomorrow (Saturday) at Rob's shop where the car is still. Then bring it home and finish; . Install tunnel . Install turkey pan and KN 9in Air Cleaner with new flat base. . Install door inner sill molding . Install seat belts and shoulder harnesses . Install the carpet . Install seats . Clean and detail the car . Inspection and registration And then it's time to enjoy the car.....:LOL: |
Looking good Gary. Cant wait to see it....and hear it.
