Default Just added 1/2" phenolic spacer and K&N Top Breather filter

After our government fuel fiasco in San Marcos I decided to add a 1/2" phenolic spacer to keep the bowls a little cooler if we run, no when we run into the same krap again. Because of the space issues I changed to a K&N top breathing filter. Wow, nice mid-range improvement and responsiveness has smoothed out.
I also changed out the stock shifter for the Pro 5.0, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! Second to third is slight a bump and it feels like a entirely different tranny.

Hehe, increase the air flow--adjust the carb--pretty basic.

Same thing happened to my car at TCC... went with wood carb spacer...no more heat soak issues.

A serendipitous benifit of the spacer is the added performance.
