DFW monthly meeting for October
Since many of us will be at the Shelby Nationals on Oct 6th, do we want to move this month's meeting to Sept 29th? Or should we all just get together at the Nationals on Oct. 6h?
Oh great Tom, what say our leader? Anyone else have some ideas? |
Either way for me.....speak O' might impotent one!!!!

I am new to the Cobra Club and have just moved to Dallas from the UK. I am looking to build a Cobra this winter to take back to the UK next year. Probably a Coupe (HDR) because of roll cage requirements back in the UK etc.
I would be interested in attending any upcoming events here in TX. How do I join? Also, I have trawled the www for information on the Shelby event at the Motorsport Ranch on 10/6 without much success other than the dates?! Is there a web site for the event? Thanks, Paul |
Since not everyone will be able to make the Shelby event at Motorsports Ranch, I vote for a gathering on the 29th. Of course the President must make the tough decision!

I wish he would leave his intern alone and answer our calls!
Paul, Welcome to the club! As you can see, the date of our next meeting has nor been solidified as of yet, but watch the posting over the next few days to find the time and location. Plan to join us. As for the Shelby event in October, Gary Morris is probably the best to post the details. How about it Gary? |
Paul et al:
Here is a copy/paste of information posted to the TCC web site: From Scott Black: The Shelby Car Association of Texas (SCAT) will host its annual "Texas Nationals" on October 5 - 7, 2001 in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Metroplex. The event includes: * Track time at the Motorsports Ranch (http://www.motorsportranch.com/) outside the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Metroplex on Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6, 2001. You can drive quickly around the track or participate in the "touring category" to learn a bit about your car. *A Saturday night banquet at the Hilton Hotel in Arlington, Texas; Carroll Shelby has been there most years but due to his health attendance is always questionable. Previous speakers have included drivers George Folmer and Bob Johnson. * A car show at the Arlington Hilton on Sunday, October 7. Again, the show is for Ford powered vehicles and participants range from Model T's to Cougars, Tigers, Panteras, Cobras and Ford pickups. CONTACTS FOR THE EVENT: Don Arnold @ 817-478-7844 Susan Morris @972-289-4336 SCATMAIL1 @aol.com SCAT Hotline 972-289-4336 I assume all the information is still correct. |
FWIW - I vote for breakfast/meeting on Sept. 29th. I will not be able to attend the Motorsport Ranch activities.
Thanks, |
