Great cruise for a great cause!
Yesterday 6 cars from the Austin Cobra Club met at the San Marcos Airport for a poker run for the Smithville Volunteer Fire Department. They spent 18 days fighting the fires that ravaged Bastrop County. It was really cool because we were invited to join fliers from EAA 187 group. They had their own poker run in the air. We cruised thru several towns and finished at the Smithville Airport for lunch and the checking of the poker hands. It was a beautiful day for a Cobra ride. I had squat until the last card was drawn. I had a pair of Kings, which I thought was OK, but I never win anything so I stood there and waited for my T-shirt or what ever. I nearly fell over when I found out I won the Grand Prize. I get to fly on a B-17 in a couple of weeks!!!!!!!! I'm still in shock.

Thanks, Charles. I'll have to see if my son still has his video camera. Check out the Austin Cobra Club Yahoo Group for pictures of yesterday. Glenn's wife Mary took a bunch and I'm sure they will be up soon.
How is the car coming along? Will you be on the road by Meet time?
