Had the car at the dyno today to make sure all was ok and found my fuel pressure too high and a bad vibration that i suspect is the flywheel or pressure plate (recently replaced by a shop - before work, no vibration - after work, vibration.) So, we i will be pulling the tranny Monday and hope to have it back together by end of day Tuesday for the trip down Wednesday. Gonna be tight....

Update on the track venue at harris hill
Dear All,
Just wanted to pass along a brief update on the track venue for this coming weekend. We have 31 paid registrations. A big thank you to each and everyone of you for participating. I especially want to thank Steve Seitz for beating the bushes to fill nearly a third of the field. Also deserving mention for their recruiting efforts are Kevin O'Grady, and David Nolen. Last call for registration. Deadline is tomorrow night. If you are interested, more info and forms/paypal can be found at Track Registration Website. The weather for Friday from six-days out looks to be warm and humid, with a possibility of thunderstorms early in the day. Our casual 1:00pm hot-grid looks good. Best to make entry and exit by the northern end of Harris Hill Road according to the above directions. • Also regarding H2R's neighbors, NOISE LIMITS ARE 99dB AT 30FT FROM THE EXHAUST EXIT. The measurement is done to approximate 85dB at the property line. • All present on H2R Property (including spectators) will be expected to sign the Liability Waiver Book located in the H2R Clubhouse upon arrival. • Minor children are not permitted in the Staging/Paddock Area, but are welcome in the Clubhouse. • A german lunch will be provided by Lonestar Classics featuring - Brauts from Kuby's Sausage Haus, Silverfloss Carraway Sweet Kraut, Potato Salad, and Pickle Spears - Bring your appetite and an optional tithing for Operation Comfort Schedule for the day: All should unload in the 10 o'clock hour Tech-check will occur in the 11 o'clock hour A half-hour MANDATORY Driver's Safety Meeting will begin at 12:00 noon Group photo at the conclusion of the driver meeting Final prep and lunch for track participants and Operation Comfort guests will begin at 12:30 Grid is hot, non-stop, from 1:00pm - 6:00pm Did I mention, THERE IS NO GAS ON-SITE,? To all of you that attended the TCC Spring Meet 2012 in San Marcos:
Even though it has been over a month since our little get-together, I wanted to give an update to the event. We had over 125 cars and a little over 275 people in attendance. For all of our efforts in the fund-raising department we collect nearly $14,000 for the Operation Comfort's Automotivation group. All of these numbers are new records. I would like to personally thank the following TCC members for their undying support and enthusiasm in putting on the event: Dee and Jacque Walter Mike Mitchell Steve Klestinec Skip Snowden Tom Harrison Dylan Bryan Randy Jeter Rich Bassimer Jessie Ramirez Glenn and Mary Reilly Gregg Herdlitchka John Shelton Their behind the scenes work made this the best SPRING MEET EVER!! Also, I want to thank the former TCC Presidents for electing me TCC President for 2012-13. I am honored to be included in such a fine group of men. Thanks Ken Walker PS: You all may be seated now!!!!!!!! |
Well deserved, fearless leader!
We expect big things from the new president!:)
He's already done more than most new presidents!
Looking forward to making this event. Won't have the car ready for next year, but the year after it should be ready.
Come on down anyway. Lots of open seats for the cruises and it doesn't take a car to have fun with us.
I just might next year. At least I should have some pics of the build in progress.
I brought my car as is this year to the TCC meet. Looked a bit naked without a body. Glad it didn't get arrested for indecent exposure. Should have it under it's own power for next year with a big grin on my face.
Already looking forward to next year. Congrats Ken. TCC always puts on a great meet. Russ |
Loved your Hurricane Russ. Was major topic of many conversations with a few cold adult beverages....:)
