NOVEMBER TCC meeting
Hey Prez- I'd like to recommend meeting at Hartford's Sports Grille in Lewisville for our November TCC meeting. They open at 11am, Good food, large patio that looks over the parking lot, easy access from Interstate, and special COBRA parking spaces. I'll gladly set things up if this is where you want us to meet!!

Sounds good to me! :D
You've got the Ball! :JEKYLHYDE |
TCC NOV. Meeting
Be glad to set things up. I'll post directions and other particulars soon.
TCC Members, and other interested parties, should let me know if they are coming to arrange for adequate seating. Let me know who plans to bring their cobra so I'll know how many special cobra parking spots to arrange. |
What is the date and time?
|
Meeting??
Mr. Ray, you have to forgive little greg, he and his car are a little slow. hehehehehe
|
Sounds good.
Not to early and close by! Finally. :3DSMILE: |
I'm going to try and come up if I get moved into the new house. I'll have the boys so I'll be trailoring it. Anybody recommend a good place for the three of us to stay?

Ok all, here's the scoop on the Nov. TCC meeting: Nov. 3rd at the Hartford's Sports Grille in Lewisville. They open at 11am and I've arranged for us to have seating out on the patio. We'll have special parking for the cobras on the patio front and side and the MGR. requests we get the cars parked as close to opening time as we can. DIRECTIONS: from I35E take the Corporate Drive exit (exit 449), go east on Corporate Drive then turn right onto Lakepointe Drive. Take lakepointe Drive about 300 yards and turn right between the Hearthside Suites hotel and the Extended Stay America hotel. Hartfords is on the right side just behind the Extended Stay hotel. I plan on being at Hartfords about 1030am to help with the Cobra parking. If you need other info call me at 972-434-6046. Look forward to seeing all of you. P.S Someone tells that Tom Meadows has a Cobra, who knows????Anybody seen it lately!!!! hehehehehe!!

Watch Yourself, little greg!! :p

Sounds like a plan to me!!
Greg,
I think this is a Sterling idea, so plan on #586 being in attendance! John R. |
I'm sorry to say I'll miss this event. Unfortunately Marge and I will be in Cabo for the week, coming home on Sunday the 4th. We'll be thinking of all of you while we're sippin' cool ones on the beach.
Jim :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: |
hmmm. .. sounds like we have a NEW place to meet now. That will teach Jim and Marge to go to Cabo without the rest of us!!!
Jim, can you leave the keys to the Porche?!?! |
James,
They'll be under the front porch door mat. Don't tell anyone, he, he, he!**) Jim:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: |
Jim, gone again- & we are being "Pun-nished"
Jeez, Jim
It's bad enough that you two are flitting off again, but "keys under the porch" mat............Geez, this reminds me of a bad Blonde joke! You two have a good time, & we'll miss you. John R. |
Well, I will have to miss this one. My son Nick and I are headed to Seguin on Friday afternoon for the USPF Texas Cup Powerlifting championships on Saturday, which we will both be competing in - he in Junior Men 13-15, and I in Masters Men 40-44.
This will really just be a warm-up meet for us, for we will be going to Reno, Nevada in less than three weeks for the WABDL World powerlifting championships, which we both qualified for over the summer. SO - I don't need to go eat burgers and onion rings anyway, I've still got 5 pounds to loose to make my weight class!! :JEKYLHYDE |
I've just about got all the bugs off my car from the Austin trip last weekend, so count me in!
|
Ray; Did you resolve that ignition bug?
|
I'll try to be there at the meeting. I have a laser-etched beer mug with the club logo to show the members to see if there might be an interest.
At the Goodguys show, there were a lot of super looking losing cars --- it is a wonder just how anyone could judge one car over another. I had nothing else to do that weekend to speak of, so I cleaned up the snake and entered the show to have fun, not knowing what type of show it is or what to expect. I noticed that there were a lot of kit cars there, but not a single kit car took an award. Wonder if the judges gave preference to a re-built over a kit car??? :( With the Irving Classic Car Show,... decisions, decisions. I am now uncertain what I will do --- I'll decide when I wake up. |
To answer your question, Alan...yes! Most street rodders look down their noses at any kind of kit car. Even though they themselves may have constructed their cars from a collection of components, the idea of a kit is repugnant to them. So...don't expect a fair shake at any show with street rods.
