Mother Nature Strikes Me Out!

Sorry guys,

Mother Nature just called me into service this weekend. I have soldiers doing flood duty this weekend. So I'm working. Pulling an all nighter right now so I'm not sounding nor typing very coherient.

Paul, at this point, weather doesn't look good on Sunday either. Weather channel says 60% chance for Saturday, and here's a fresher AOPA forecast for Saturday (as of Fri morning)...

Rain Plans

We can still meet at the Austin Java Co (The Back Yard ) without the Cobras for breakfast (10:30am).

anil 11-16-2001 04:25 PM

I second that, and intend to be there. Also adjusted the reservation to 15, and we now have full menu service available.

Got the front tubular control arms done and test drove it without the front sway bar today. Sweet! Would be even better with the sway bar.

BTW, latest weather channel report is 80% chance of rain tomorrow during the day. :(

Cheers!

Sorry I did not post in time for your head count, I have been pretty distracted lately. As far as this weekend goes, we have a truck load of furniture coming from CA today sometime after lunch, gotta be here.

Hope all is well.

Hill Country Cruise

Well Tony, Neil, Gerhardt, and myself showed up at the Austin Java Co. We had breakfast and decided to do a hill country cruise. We stopped by my house and picked up Kathy. Gerhardt decided to head for home. He drove 45 minutes one way to meet with us. Neil and I took the old 1826 route to Driftwood. We connected with RR12 and looped back to Bee Cave. Clouds were heavey, so we decided to head for home in case it started to rain. :3DSMILE:

Hope we can do some thing next month. Neil still has the ball.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the TCC members!

Yeah, it was overcast and humid -- definitely threatening to rain, but the cruise was awesome! Nice back roads, that definitely need to be driven again sometime.

Definitely disappointed by the turnout though. Even those that said that they'd be there didn't turn up. Let's do better next cruise...

Cheers,
-Neil.

PS: Yes, I changed my list "handle".

Hey Guys,

Sorry we didn't make it yesterday. I got caught up in a home remodeling project that required me to apply myself in a race against the weather. You are right though, neil, we are definitely wusses!

Anyway, I am sorry we missed you, and look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Later,

Joe Z

Wusses, I think Not!

Neil,

Please, when a natural diaster comes calling I think helping people and protecting their lives and their property of those in need will always come first.

Duty, Honor, Country!

Gregg H.

An Army of One!

P.S. No offense taken! Just that's the reason I could npt make the cruise on Saturday. Duty called.

Cobra Dude 11-18-2001 04:36 PM

Gregg, Joe...

Uh-oh, maybe it came across wrong? Wasn't attacking anyone -- just having a bit of fun. :3DSMILE: I know you guys were dealing with issues from the recent downpour. Just wish you could do something about it BEFORE it falls from the sky. :)

Cheers,
-Neil.

Joe Z 11-19-2001 06:11 PM

Neil,

Now you know that I'm the sensitive type and I could get me feelings hurt. You brute.....

No offense taken, I'm always up for a good ribbing

Joe z:rolleyes:

Apologies to anyone who was offended by the comment or took this personally, it was truly intended in good humor. Others may have been offended by it silently, so I've retracted it.
