DFW December Lunch & AER Toy Run
AER Annual Toy run Saturday December 7th, so assume we'll meet for lunch 10:30-11:00am somewhere in the Addison area as Champs is closed. Maybe Jakes or something else? Then to AER following.......
AER Manufacturing 1605 Surveyor Blvd. Carrollton, Texas |
Count me in...plus one
|
Eagle's Canyon Toy Run is the same day. Open track/three groups, etc. Make reservations; fills up fast.

AER Toy Drive
Weather forecast looks crappy. Where is the group meeting?
|
Looks like the weather is going to be cold and rainy so we might consider hitting AER at 9:30-10:00am with the gifts and then head out to lunch some where in the area around 11:00am vs what we have done over the years but either way is fine with me. I'm sure the conversation will pick up on this in the next couple days..............

I am in... just let me know where.

I am in
|
Flying Fish on Montfort ????
|
Or how about Torchy's
Lol |
Torchy's is always good but you need to be early on Sat.
|
I think we need to pick something more in line with Christmas and if we are not going to have the cars I'd like a hot toddy or Bloody Mary. For some reason fish or tacos just don't seem to be of interest. Champps was a perfect place, too bad it's closed.

Addison Suggestions?
Addison is near the AER facility where we are dropping toys.
The weather is going to suck. So who knows an indoor venue in Addison where 30 people can sit down for lunch at 11:00? Or maybe breakfast at 9:30-10:00? There are 170 restaurants in and around Addison. Jake's, OPH, Manny's, Quaker Steak (190 in Carrolton or 121 in Plano), Londoner, Chaucer's, one of the hotels ... ? Sam |
Ok
How about Hooters in Addison :) |
Eagles Canyon Toy Run moved to DEC 14 due to pending bad weather.
Just FYI Paul |
So how about we meet at AER between 9:30 and 10am with the gifts and then go to Hooters for lunch following say 11am....
|
Great, we have a plan. See all at AER, and then Hooters to follow.
|
AER then Hooters
Good plan!
Toy Run: AER Sat 12/7, arrive by 10:00 am: 1605 Surveyor Blvd. Carrollton, Texas Google Maps if you have never been there. Park in the North lot. Don't forget to bring a new, unwrapped toy. Lunch: Hooters, arrive by 11:00 am: 5005 Belt Line Rd, Addison, TX It is next to the Magic Time Machine, just west of the Dallas North Tollway/Belt Line Road intersection. Sam |
AER Toy Drive – December 7th IS CANCELLED!
It has been decided that due to the inclement weather and bad driving conditions that will most likely exist across all the metro-plex during the weekend, AER will be closed on Saturday and will not be collecting toys on Saturday, December 7th. AER will place a large box in the lobby of their office so we can bring toys and drop them off all next week. Please bring your toys and place them in the box between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday of next week, December 9 - 13. If you have a large toy or something that you will need help with, please contact Bill on his cell phone and he will make arrangements for someone to help you. Bill has indicated that he will be available at AER next Saturday, December 14th to take your toys also so don't know if any of you want to drop toys off around 9:30am next Saturday and then go to Hooters as was planned for tomorrow? Realize with the holidays coming weekends get tied up doing other things also. |
Well I went by AER before reading the post.
Drove over to Hooters and was hanging out to see if anybody showed up. Got thrown out by the manager after hanging out inside for 10 min. He said, "Can't have you in the store till we open at 11." Really? Maybe I should of fell down walking back out to my car. So I guess I won't be coming back here again. |
AER toy drive is rescheduled for this Sat. Are we getting together after?
