Default Pre-pay for the Anniversary event

Hear Ye, Hear Ye,

In an effort to enact some last minute legislation before his term comes to an end, our beloved President met with his cabinet today and unanimously passed a new bill.

Seriously, the new bill is an effort to get as many people as possible to PRE-PAY for the Anniversary event each year. Tom's idea is a good one. The money that is collected ahead of time will be helping to pay some of the costs of the event. This will really help. Last year, we spent 2k on the event. As we get bigger and bigger, it will become more and more difficult for someone to fund this out-of-pocket.

As we did last year, we're again going to ask for a $20 donation per person to cover the expenses (including meals and drinks). I think $10 would be fine for kids under 18.

We've all got local meetings coming up in the next few weeks, so we're asking for everyone to prepay at those meetings. Each sub-group can designate a treasurer to take money and keep records.

Of course we'll still take money "at the door" but this is the new preferred method

Sincerely,

Charmer

P.S. In other news, another bill has been put before the cabinet to ban the use of Whipped Cream at club holiday events

Thumbs up Good Suggestion!

You got a good suggestion. I'll give you a check for $40 at our February 9th meet.

Red face Thanks goodness!

It sure is better than Tom's first idea...

He was planning to dance on the table at our next meeting wearing nothing more than a G-string and asking us all to put dollar bills...... well, you can guess the rest

Thumbs up Houston reporting in.

We had our meeting today and we had 14 people pre pay Where do I send the money and who should the checks be made out to?

Houston is looking to bring 10+ cars this year A huge improvement over bringing just one car to the first meet.

I think this is a great I dea. It will make it easier at the sign in table this year. I will collect the funds for the Dallas area Crew and get them to you in Austin.

Stretch,
Are you going to make name tags for everyone that has prepaid, and hand them out at the sign in table or how are we going to track this pre payment for so many that will and will not pre pay?

I just want to be able to answer the question when asked at our local lunch.

Thanks for all the support on this folks,

Dennis and Steve, you can send the money and a list of who has paid directly to me. I'll email you with my address. Blank checks can be made out to me as well. If you collected cash, go ahead and deposit it and write me a new check.

Steve, Dick is printing up name tags for everyone. I'll use the lists that you and Dennis send me to mark the packets with "paid" for Saturday's registration. I imagine that we'll get more people pre-paying right up to the event so we'll need to keep close track of who has paid.

Mr President, I am lobbying against your veto of the whipped cream bill.....I'll go to the Supreme Court if I have to

Thanks guys!

Charmer

Hey Ryan,

No problem. As long as we get a good chunk of change to help prepair for the event, we'll be fine.

Let us Austinites know what we can do to help boost the interest down there in S.A. I'm sure some of us would be willing to drive down and participate in San Antonio meetings if you think it would help. Good luck and see you in February!

We're trying to sucker some more people into this so-called "hobby" of ours. There are two cars being built currently here in San Antonio and I know of probably three others that are driving, but they don't seem to get out much. I'm trying to have mine finished by early fall...so we'll see. The other car in progress should be finished in a couple of months. I guess I'll have to hitch a ride with him until mine is finished.

Hey Paul,
Do you have a passenger for the TCC event. I was going to see if I could ride with you if you have an open seat. If not, don't worry I'll see you there.

Hey Hey!

I received the info from Dennis for all of the pre-registered folks from the Houston area - 19 people paid!!!!! I must say that Dennis has done an amazing job building the membership in the Houston area. WAY TO GO

I'm looking forward to receiving the 2 or 3 sign-ups from Dallas next weekend .

Serioulsly, El Presidente called me today just to say that he just watched the video from the first year and can't beleive how far we've come. He's right (every once in a while). We have really come a long way in two years. What a great group of people....heck, what a great FAMILY we have! Can't wait to see everyone
