Firing the SilverCobra Stroker
On Friday morning, I came to the conclusion that the SilverCobra was not going to be complete and make to Austin without serious help from some experienced Cobra guys. My SOS e-mail went out to several TCC members and on Saturday morning Cory Hess, Alan Drewry and John Ross arrived with tools in hand to survey the situation and we all jumped into the engine compartment. By the end of the day, we had completed the upper and lower radiator hoses, removed/then reinstalled the fuel pump in order to tighten the lower oil cooler line, solved my pesky alternator bracket attachment, bled the brakes/clutch lines, rerouted some wires, etc.
Sunday afternoon, my three amigos showed up again and my son Matt, Gary Morris and Matt Tice, all helped fix a water neck leak, cut header gaskets, run some more wire looms, install side pipes and prepare the beast for firing. It took a while to get the fuel to find the carb, but she finally kicked in and the Stroker roared to life…what a beautiful sound…grins and high fives all around.
All that is left now is to the carpet, shifter, seats, seats belts, brake vents and a few minor things. Austin – here I come. Guys – I owe you big time – thanks again.

What a team!
You are blessed to have such cool friends. Of course, they all own part of your cobra now...
Enjoy! It must have been really, really cool to hear it fire up for the first time !

Dang, sorry I missed the event!!
Dick,
I am sorry I missed the "Cobra comunity build" Saturday & hear that beautiful stroker fire. The car looked absolutely gorgeous when John jr. & I met Tom at your house Thursday night. I am truly glad you are going to make it to Austin in that "Silver Bullet" instead of the Jeep.

That's GREAT Silver ,
One of life's greatest moments too be sure! All I can say is get as much driving time in between now and the big event to make sure you've got all the little things worked out! Good luck!
