Default will work for food

I know this is hopelessly off topic, but I also know that there are a great many of you out there from an unbelievably wide range of areas professionally. So, I guess I'll follow Q's example from last year and ask this group in finding a new job. I work(ed) for Sonus Networks which makes equipment for telephone companies as a Director of Software Development in Richardson. But the downturn in the economy has forced Sonus to shut down its operations in Texas and consolidate in Boston. (This after the stock plummeted and I lost all the money I saved to build my Cobra, but I digress).

I have expertise in C++ and Java, J2EE/EJB, Unix and distributed computing in areas other than J2EE. I am still a great programmer (better in C++ but good in Java too), and somewhat of a "jack of all trades". I'm used to working in a small company where you have to be a programmer, manager, network administrator, Unix system administrator.... Whatever the current situation demands. Before I went into software I was in Mechanical Engineering followed by Electrical Engineering, so I cross over between software and hardware pretty well.

I'll be glad to email my resume to anyone that has an interest and might be able to help. Email me directly for the resume or to ask more questions. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Feel free to send your resume my way. I work for NetSolve, Inc. We manage 40,000 WAN/LAN devices worldwide. I can at least put your resume in the proper hands. We are in Austin.

Best of luck in your search.

ps: send to ...... osmard@netsolve.com
