Keep David Starks in your prayer today
David Starks soon to be 4 yrs old next month has had a battle against ALL Leukemia for 1-1/2 yrs as of 6-14-02 he will under go a long painful Bone Merrill trans plant today he will need all the prayers he can get to go through 100 + days of recovery .We pray for the others that are going through tuff times as well .He is in the Houston hospital .

Sometimes, the only place we can find understanding and comfort, is in the arms of our Lord and Savior. Know that Tammi and I will keep little David in our prayers. It's sometimes really hard to understand God's plan... we just have to have faith that He has one.

Thank You Cobra Club
Well Little David under went his trans plant @ 9:30 pm tonight and has come out at 1 pint his heart went up tremendously and came back down to normal on his own and with the Faith of the Lord .He is watching cartoons and resting very tiered but doing well Thanks again from our Family to yours the next 100 plus days will still be tuff .

Glad to hear David pulled through! I hate hearing about childrens lives being torn apart by disease, but Leukemia is really tough on the tikes. Every year, I work the Annual Fund Raiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help fight this disease. We can't end its ravages soon enough! David is in my prayers. JM |

Update 6-20-02
Well as of 6-20-02 Little David Starks is recovering with great progress he has some stomach problems but is overcoming that.
His platelets levels are very low and has a transfusion BUT what amazes the Doctors is he is up and bought playing like other kids with the count so low Doc said this kid should be in bed sleeping with very little strength ...We believe it is the prayers he has received from so many wonderful people .Thanks from the Starks and Mendez Families ..Keep those prayers coming . :) Special thanks for the 23 yr old Man,{Unknown Donor but never to be forgoting }for doing what he did ... |
Bad News
Well Little David Starks has had a turn for the worst even thou his body has accepted the transplant the cancer is back and at this point the Doctors have not a clue why, and there is nothing to do but pray.He will be comming home 9-18-02 to spend his last days with our family .So as for the Car Show on the 9-21-02 will be canceled so we may save our time for David .We are glad that God has at least let us have him for the 4 years and still have hope that he may leave him here in good health or be next to him to look over the rest of the children .Thanks from our Family for all the prayers .ps if someone can help me post a picture of him .Let me know .
