James Baldwin 07-29-2002 09:02 AM

Any good breakfast joints around??

We have Denny's and IHOP at 635 and MacArthur but the parking is not great (May not be enough spaces)

Ray Russell 07-29-2002 10:14 AM

What about the Champs at 114 & McArthur?

James Baldwin 07-29-2002 10:29 AM

They open at 11:00 but are always a good option for an early lunch. Considering the heat, do we want to have a lunch or breakfast?

My vote is for breakfast if Tom can get up early enough to put on his makeup.:p

ERA600hp 07-29-2002 01:11 PM

Breakfast for 40 please

I vote for breakfast - the noon Texas sun is so hot it darn near melts the glue on my kit car...heck wheels might just fall off. Champs sounds good - another place - Owens - LBJ/Midway.;) ;)

Ray Russell 07-30-2002 01:56 PM

My vote is for breakfast somewhere. About 1:00 the sun begins to vulcanize your a$$ to the seat cushion!

James Baldwin 07-30-2002 02:00 PM

I will stop by the new IHOP at 635 and MacArthur to see if they will allow me to block off some spaces.

Speak now if you will be there or not.

ERA600hp 07-30-2002 02:01 PM

Well Ray

Pick A Place :D

Ray Russell 07-30-2002 08:41 PM

I'll be there. What time? Is that close to the Champs,or is it going towards Grapevine? I'm not familiar with the location.

66 snake 07-30-2002 09:56 PM

We'll be there, wherever "there" is.

One other suggestion - the IHOP by Vista Ridge Mall. Although any of the above is a nice drive for us.

Alan

Gary Morris 07-31-2002 09:58 PM

We Be There

The GEM:MECOOL:

James Baldwin 07-31-2002 10:36 PM

Well, I ran out of time and am leaving town in the morning (but will be back in time for the meeting Saturday). So, someone else will need to step up and either call the morning manager at IHOP to see if we can reserve the spaces or name another place.

Sorry but there just are not enough hours in the day lately.

ERA600hp 08-01-2002 04:51 AM

Well Ray

Step up, come on, you've got a chance :p

Just about anywhere will be good as long as we can see the cars

It's Good To be King ;)

Ray Russell 08-01-2002 08:41 AM

O.K. Here's where it's at! 8:00 at IHOP in Grapevine. Take Hwy. 114 to Grapevine, exit Southlake Blvd.(1709). Crossover 114 and go back up the access rd. There is a Red Lobster next door that doesn't open until 11:00,so there is plenty of parking.:D I told them to expect 10-15 people:no problemo-plenty of room.%/ %/ %/

4RE KLR 08-01-2002 09:18 AM

Ray, you are the man!!!

I knew you would come through. I'll see you all Saturday the 3rd.
