Default Colorado Car Show

We (The Mile Hi Corba Club) have been asked by several members to put on a car show. Have talked to the local Kit Car Club and they will tie in with us. It will be a Cobra/Kit Car Show only. I would like to have a show with as few complaints as possible. Also would like to make it fun for the whole family. No Parking Lots with nothing to do but sit in the sun.
Would anyone have suggestions for us on how to organize our show? Also share with us your past experiences (good and bad).
Also, any ideas on Judging and how to do it? People's Choice seem to work well. (No one can blame the judge), but then some feel that the average person does not know how to judge a car show. How do you judge a car show?
Would like to have one next summer.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I have had many conversations with the Christian Cruisers Car Club that averages about 200 cars per (club fundraiser) show about how to do a show (because I want to organize a show myself to benefit my Boy Scout Troop). I think Christian Cruisers rakes in the money for their club or charity because practically everything is donated by an auto parts store as sponsor for advertisement space, from the trophies to the door prizes and raffles prizes. The dash plaques are $1 each for lots of 50 or more, and the trophies cost around $5-$10 each, maybe cheaper if purchased locally. Their club also resale food and drink items at the show. I figure the profit is over $1000 for 130 cars entering in the show with a $10 entry fee (of which many other shows have a larger fee).

Was at a hotrod show in Glenwood Springs a few weeks ago and it's a great town for things to do other than sitting in the sun in a parking lot. Aspen just a short distance away would be a great venue. Late August and the first two weeks in September are great and things slow down so they would probably be willing to accommodate a pure cobra show. I try to find any excuse to head back to Aspen and a Cobra show would definitely do it for me. Hell, they host Gay/Lebian ski week so I'm sure they'd do the hetrosexual Cobra weekend...
