2003 Spring Meet Misc Stuff

Austin Members; Lets talk about misc. stuff:

Greg: You still have raffle tickets left over from 2002?

Anyone: What about door & raffle prizes?

Blake: Can you tell us about T-Shirts and your plans?

Anyone: Making registration packets & name tags?

Anything else I'm forgetting?????

Raffle tickets. and stuff!

Ed,

I have the raffle tickets.

I spoke to Dennis a few weeks ago and he contacted Finish Line about Door prizes. (Thanks Paula)

Anybody else who wants to donate doors prizes contact me.

What do you want to put i the packets? I will stuff almost anything in there. (shutting the door on any jokes)

What I did in the past was, but in Raffle tickets, maps, and any other inportant info that the members will need. I think someone from NASA had a few race dates and some one had some car show stuff. I'm flexable. Just kind of need a count of how many packets to make up. I will need to pick up some large evelopes

Greg;

I was planning on printing the cruise instructions and placing it in the packet. The instructions are straight forward, a map should not be needed.

I've tried to find a "detailed" map of the Texas Hill Country covering our cruise route, so far no luck. I'll keep trying, can anyone help with a map?

This is the only one I found:

STUFF in the packets

I will put in the packets. Or we can have a stuffing party at my house. Have a few pizzas and cold ones.

The pizza of course would be stuff crust

THE ROADS OF TEXAS....

will show you every creek, low water crossing and road in Texas.
it is published by Shearer Publishing.
it's available in most any bookstore.

i first used it in 1990 while living in the Hill Country. kingsland,
where the llano & colorado river meet.every road, paved or not,was in the Roads of Texas.

It's perfect, Ed!

Ed,
This is an absolutely perfect agenda for our 4th. event.
It is simple, easy to follow, there is plenty to do, and we arrive back to the hotel prior to dark!!
My hat's off to you and the team in Austin(sorry for the glare)!
John Russell
just about a month away!!

Ed Csoltko 01-18-2003 08:51 AM

Fred; Thanks for the input. I got the Roads of Texas, great map book. The only problem is that our cruise route goes through 3 map pages. I'm looking for a one pager that shows our entire route. The only map I found was the one above. See URL. If anyone can generate a better, clearer one page map, I'll replace the one I got.

jrussell 01-19-2003 05:36 AM

Ed, the map is A.O.K.

Ed,
That map is OK by me. I just printed it out in landscape format and am going to use a yellow highlighter on the route.
Once again, nice job!

Ed,

There is a good map site called mapquest all you need is the starting zip code and the ending zip code, the site will do the rest.

Good job my friend, and we will see you in 4 days.
