Sorry we missed Austin, but there was some good to us staying behind
As many of you have experienced, some people take forever to build their car, whether it is a money situation, a spouse situation, or just plain lack of motivation.
A fellow club member, ducmn2 and I opted to skip this years festivities as we dont have covered trailers and although our bodies were made at a boat shop we didnt want to test their durability in the water.
Instead we actually fired up his cobra. I know big deal... He built the engine 5 years ago. Its been sitting ever since... well after a few minutes cranking and a changing of points the car fired right up. we think the coil was too HOT for the stock points. We ran it for a while then checked rockers, re-adjusted and it sounds great...
So there was a bright side to the weekend. Next year we both should be at the event.
Im very greatful that you guys had very nice weather on saturday.....
Take care...
