Joe's Place

Just to remind the Austin Group that we're meeting in Elgin at Joe's place. So who's comming? Forecast shows 20% rain. Kathy and I will be there. (I want some more Elgin sausage.)

Cammer, did you get a battery yet?

My FFR might not make it this weekend, I need to adjust my windshield. After 12K miles of bouncing on the Hill Country roads my windshield has dropped a bit so that it is hitting my fiberglass. I got Mike Schriber (my FFR builder) comming over to help me readjust and tighten the windshield.

Hope he's a contortionists(sp?)! :D It's fun doing it by yourself! Go go gadget arms!(For the younger generation);)

Ed Csoltko 03-17-2003 03:14 PM

Advice Please!

Ryan; Any advise or helpful hints on adjusting the windshield would be appreciated.

Grow longer arms! Nah, just kidding. It really takes two people for the passenger side and a contortionist for the drivers side. Its like doing anything else under the dash of a Cobra....upside down with legs sticking out of the top of the car! The passenger side is done through the engine bay or you can remove a small panel under the dash on the far right and do it from there.

Its probably not bad to adjust, but installing is no fun at all! Should be a 30 minute job! Good luck!

Ed, try the access panel on the pass side. I replaced my windshield a few weeks ago and the pass side was a pain in the A**. The drivers side was just as Ryan described on my back with the feet up in the air. Funny sight but I was able to get to the bolts.

James
