Track Time, Play Time
 

KEITHW HAS RENTED TWO DAYS AT NO PROBLEM RACEWAY OUTSIDE OF BATON ROUGE ON JULY 23-24. ALL ARE INVITED!:D

THIS IS A PRIVATE EVENT AND YOU CAN RUN WHAT YA BRUNG. WE WILL MAKE UP THE RULES AS WE GO ALONG BUT IT WILL BE VERY INEXPENSIVE AS TRACK EVENTS GO. NO PROFIT HERE, JUST COVER THE COST AS WE GO. IF WE HAVE 10 CARS IT WILL BE $150 A DAY, 20 CARS $75.00 PER DAY, AND SO ON.

WE RAN THIS TRACK DURING PLAYERS RUN. IT IS NICE SURFACE, WIDE TRACK, CHANGABLE LAYOUT AND GREAT PEOPLE THAT REALLY ACCOMMODATE THE RACERS AND DRIVERS.

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL. WE HAVE TALKED WITH DOUG REED AND HE IS IN. WE KNOW SOME VETTE GUYS WHO WILL BE IN. WILL YOU BE IN? YOU WILL HAVE MORE SEAT TIME THAN YOU CAN HANDLE AND NOT WORRY ABOUT HOW FAST OR SLOW YOU RUN. PASSENGERS ARE ALLOWED AND SAFETY IS THE PRIMARY CONSIDERATION. WE WILL PROBABLY RUN 20 MINUTE SESSIONS WITH FIVE OR SO CARS IN EACH SESSION WHICH WILL MEAN 6 OR MORE SESSIONS EACH DAY.

COME ON GUYS AND GALS, THIS WILL BE FUN. WE COULD EVEN HAVE A "WAXING COMPETITION" FOR THOSE SO INCLINED.:LOL:

Got your e-mail,would love to go play,but you know I'm just a poor working (self-employed) stiff, Monday/Tuesday/Wensday are my reallll busy days,that's when I make the most money too.....

NPR is only about 2 to 2.5 hours from me, so it would be around the corner for me...... Been wanting to go by there and look the place over.... Checked out their rules and regs for the "regular" scheduled events and can not really find a place for my car.... Most clases it will not pass their inspection.... They also have an instructor there for lessons by appointment from Mnday thru Friday,may go down there one friday for some lessons....

Their weekends are full with their own competition and the rest of the weekends are booked up by the Viper-Porcshe and Corvette clubs....

They have a number of different track layouts and they can be changed very easily,making for some great driving... The place has been real succesful ever since it has opened and also has a 1/4 mile drag strip there too...

Thanks for the invite,may go one afternoon if I can get thru with work early enough and just be a spectator,would love to see some Cobras out there and see what kind of lap times they do..

Jay called me this afternoon from No Problem Raceway. He is going to Ronnie's Memorial service and Funeral. He will post when he gets back. We are still at about 15 participants but NPR says they can add a bunch if we need more racers.

Obviously I'd like more Cobra folks, so let me know.

Good news,just got back from Nashville Superspeedway for an open track the forth weekend,did reasonably well for a first timer,and better yet,nothing fell off my car or broke,it's still in one peice,has a little less rubber on the tires and a little less brake pads,but what the hell....

Would like to go meet you'll thursday the 24th and run some laps,give me some details and prices,and I'll let you know,but right now I'm 99.8% sure to be there thursday if there is still room....
