Default New Club

Just went to their site and it is a pay to join club. I don't think they can offer anything more or better than what we have here. The only advantage I could imagine would be if they can secure large discounts on parts for members. That would at least offset the price of joining.

Just my opinion. I may be missing something.

Tony

Default New Club - Additional Info

Sorry Guys! Just took a closer look at the site and maybe there is more to it. You at least get a subscription to a magazine. That may be the deal maker.

Do you guys remember Jim Young From "Peterson's Kit Car" magazine?

When McMillen-Argus bought out Petersons, Jim left and started his own kit car associated magazine. In my opinion, one of the true greats in this business.

In fact, Jim will be here for the Fling. Ask him anything about kit cars, or his magazine, you'll get only straight answers.

DV...By golly it IS Spring Fling month! Bring Cookies!!

Hey guys,

I joined when they first started up...got a cool 'Build It' T-Shirt and the rags not too bad. It does ALL kit cars, so you see Miata re-bodies, (yeah, they put a Cobra body on it, call it the Little REAl One... ) Lots of Fiero's, new kits, info on how the bodies are made... Not a bad rag. The editors go all over the place to Knotts, DV Spring Fling and tell great stories.

Currently they are doing a series on a Cobra build, (the editors neighbor is building it...I THINK it's a CMC...??)

Not bad, no real benefits though outside of the magazine... just my 2 cents worth
