Talking Guess Who came to lunch with us today? hint-DF!

Wow,
We had a great meeting today with around 10 427 Cobras and about 6 Mustang Cobras and a whole bunch op people that didn't bring their cars.
We had a great time with somewhere around 40 people....... and Dick, Barbara and Scott Flesher! Man, it was great to see Dick and his family(Matt couldn't make it) come and join us!
I will post a link to a couple of pictures I just uploaded to my photos, or you could just click on my camera by my name. Barbara said they got some great news yesterday from their Oncologist, which was they have identified the specific chemotharapy that can overcome his cancer and we all can breathe a bit easier.
This has been one of the best days I have had in a long time. My thanks go to all that came today and made this a special day.

Thumbs up what a pleasant surprise

Man, what a pleasant surprise to see Dick at our meeting this morning! I really didn't believe my eyes for a few seconds - it was him!!
I was so glad to see him again in the midst of our Cobra family.

Dick, keep on going and you'll be back in your SilverCobra in no time.

Thomas

Wink Certainly my best day in a month

Really great to see you guys/gals and the best day I have had in about 4 weeks. Felt good and On the Border tray was just what a skinny ole man needed - lost about 18 lbs with my treatment ordeal - but I guess that is not a bad thing.

Mostly just great to smile/visit - catch up on new projects, new cars going on even meet a few new faces. First completed look at Ronnie/Jan Tucker's new Unique - awesome - still want to get mine/his together for a pic - nice car Ronnie.

Again - really enjoyed Sat - You guys are really something special and again thanks for your continued prayers for my recovery. Looking good right now based on the proposed treatment in the next 2 month based on my Fri meeting with my Chemo Dr. - May loose a little hair, but don't balding men look sexy????

Dick,

Great to see you Saturday!

Was really special seeing you boys helping out and participating in the club lunch. Of course I'm sure they just hated to drive the Cobra there???????

Hope you got you got your new Explorer as I got a note from Jerry Reynolds stating they had everything all set for you!

Keep it man.........

Thumbs up Yes - new Explorer owner in club

Yes - Sharp - went over to Prestige after the Cobra Luncheon and worked out all the final details for a new red Explorer for Barb - she is very proud - gives me no immediate promise to drive - her - claims I'm still a feeble old man. Tell Jerry that all of his staff was very impressive, professional and did a great job. My wife is going to upgrade to a 6 cd player next week.

My main salesman Don Fontenot and I will keep in touch as his wife is going through some more challenging brain cancer issues and treatment up in Denver than I am right now. I printed him a 8x11 pic of all the Cobra's lined up in Austin in Feb - he got a big kick out of it. Over-all the experience at Reyold's Place was great with professional and genuine service. Pass it on to Jerry and the staff. Thanks for your help, too.

Dick,
I am sorry I missed you Saturday. I dropped my cobra down at ET Automotive to have Earnie do some work on it. I wished I had remembered that you guys have your monthly lunch the 1st Saturday of the month. Saw a couple of the Texas Cobra Club guys at ET when I was leaving. They had just come back the Club lunch - it was great to hear that you were there.

A few years ago when my wife Debbie had thyroid cancer it made me re-examine my life. Sometimes we all need a 2 minute warning in life to see what is really important…….. Love and respect of God, family and our fellow human beings. It gets too easy to be caught up in the hustle and bustle of work, material gain and self-ego.
Debbie made a full recovery as I feel you will too, but thinking of what you and your family are going through has helped me not to forget what is truly important.
The great news from the Oncologist, shows the importance of us all keeping you in our prayers.
Your friend,
Trent Dockstetter a.k.a. Okiesnake
