Dick Flesher..almost over!
Final news.. is only hours/days away! I just got off the phone with both Matt and Barbara Flesher-10:15 am sept. 16th. The end is near, there is no brain activity, and they have taken Dick off all life support. He has been moved out of CCU and is in room #1108 as the family waits, They did not expext Dick to last past Sunday night, but he has a strong heart. The family is prepared for the inevitable and the church is ready, with a 2:00pm time and just the day as yet to be decided.
The family has asked me to "guesstimate" the attendance by our membership, so realizing that the day is not yet decided, if you can, would you post if you plan to attend. I know Tom & I have talked about driving our Cobras, and the family wants us to do that. Dick will be laid to rest in a TCC shirt. Thanks, John R. |
John as long as I am in town I will be there in the car.
Matt |
This is aweful. I met dick only once, but talked with him on the phone 6 or 7 times about the TCC merchandise and all. What a great man! It is a sad day, but he will indeed be in a better place.
all our best to his family, Blake & Angie |
I will be there... just name the day, Dear Lord.
Rest in peace, dear friend. http://www.scatracks.org/images/dicknprice.jpg |
I'm so thankful that I got to hug his neck at our meeting at On The Border and to tell him how much we loved him and had prayed for him. I thank the Lord for giving us that extra time to spend with him. He was a very special person and we will all miss him.
Rest in Peace My Brother:( Gary & Susan |
John,

God bless you Dick and may you rest in peace! Greg and Vic |

this is so difficult to accept. I too am so happy I had the opportunity to talk with Dick at our last gathering and to tell him how much we loved him.
Count on me to be there with the Cobra. We can all take comfort knowing Dick will be in a better place. Sadly, |

I don't really know what to say right now. The sadness and sorrow I'm feeling right now is making it hard to type.
Dick will be in a better place and he made all of us better with his presence. May the Lord comfort the Flesher family in this time of sadness. Dick will be greatly missed by all. BTW if I can swing it yes I will be there. If anybody in Austin wants to Carpool let me know. God Bless Dick, thank you for all your kindness. Gregg H |
Very sad news, I only had the opportunity to visit with Dick two times, but I could tell he was a wonderful person. I will miss him greatly.

This thread is so hard to read. Dick so embodies (I'm not willing to put that in past tense yet) the spirit of this club. I talked with him for quite a while in February at the Grist Mill and just cannot believe this has happened. When Dick first got his car running he was having some trouble with it at the TCC meet, and I gave him a tool kit I had brought along. It was one of those $9.99 Wal-Mart specials and I told him not to worry about getting it back to me, that I just hoped it helped him out. A couple of weeks later it arrived in the mail, along with a check for "renting" it! That's what kind of guy Dick is--
We're with you, buddy. Bob |
Our prayers are with Dick's family, and we regret that we will not be there to see his tail lamps fade into the heavens above.
God Bless and Keep You, Doug Reed |
To read this thread saddens me greatly.
When I think of Dick I think of someone that offered me his friendship and that had a smile on his face everytime I saw him. I feel lucky that he had a hand in giving me something that will always remind me of him and his great sense of humor.... http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...sleytexas2.jpg I will miss him but everytime I see this picture, it will bring a smile to the heart of this aggie and make me remember he is in a better place. I am blessed to have known him. If I can make it up there, I will attend the service. |
I will be at this event in my Cobra, a true gentle spirit that will missed by all. I feel very fortunate to have made his acquaintance and knowing him for a couple of years. He always was interested in others and never met a stranger. The world will miss a similing face and friendly warm hearted Cobra Driver.

We will make the time to be there.
I really don't know what to say right now. Dick, you will be greatly missed. |

I did not know Dick well, but always enjoyed his company at the events. A nice guy and a true gentleman!
Please let us know the date and time and we will make every effort to join all of his friends to say a final good bye. God Bless you, Dick Bud:( :( :( |
Dick was my very first contact with the TCC.I had no idea as to what kind of people were involved in this club.
After one conversation with Dick,I felt that if the rest of the club was 1/2 as welcoming and nice as he is,it was a great club. Dick is such a outstandingly warm & sincere gentleman with a heart as big as Texas, anybody that had the treat of meeting him will greatly miss him. I will certainly do my best to be there with my Cobra as well. God Bless You Dick and your family. |
This is not the news we were hoping for but clearly God has a higher purpose for Dick now! Hopefully it is to help form the Cobra club in heaven as well as he did with this Texas group.
God Bless You Dick, as we all will see you sooner or later...........so get those guys organized up there! |
