Dennis Gauge - My Classic Car TV Show in Austin Feb?
Thanks to Bob Taulbee, we might be able to get Dennis Gauge from My Classic Car TV show to our Austin event! Now wouldn't that be fun! He met him at the 'Cruisin the Coast' event in Mississippi last week and invited him to come down in February. Said to send him pictures of last years event and an agenda for this year. We'll see what happens?

Guys, I worked with him at the Panoz Racing School at Sebring three or four years ago. He is a funny guy, I think the TCC Austin event would be right up his alley.
Thanks, db

Don't get your Hopes up
He was in Tulsa several years ago, and he couldn't walk fast enough past us, with out giving us glance! We were at the Sonic drive end and He had to walk past us, and It was like we weren't even there!
The Royal One!
PS: Ask Morris he was there!!

I Was Thinking the Same Thing!
Mr Gauge does shows on real/original cars. I've never seen any replica cobras or events on "My Classic Car" show (correct me if I'm wrong). But there is always a first time.
Every year I have posted the local TV networks on our yearly event and we hardly get takers. Big biker events, Austin Car Show, and Rudy's Car Show made it this year. Who knows, maybe next year we'll get lucky

The Rudy's car show had good television representation this year.
The organizers did lots of work to have crews there before, during and after the show. CBS did a long interview with me in my car after the show and had it on their news broadcast that evening.

Guys,
I received a message back from My Classic car Staff. Thay said they get hundreds of invitations each year, but could only cover 13 events per year.
I sent them all of the photos and information from our past events. They did say that Dennis Gauge and the production staff would review our request.
We will just have to wait and see. I know he likes cobras, we will see how much. Keep your fingers crossed.

Suggestions?
Anyone have any suggestions on getting our local TV stations interested in covering our 2004 Spring Meet event? I have emailed Channels 7, 24, 36, 42, 54, including Cable Channel 8 for the past two years without much success. What we need is some inside contact with these stations which I don't have. I think Blake had a personal contact last year. We got some interest two years ago when Stretch, Joe, Richard, and a few others got an early morning interview, but no Rally coverage. I will begin sending emails to all these stations in January. We might luck out.

Personally I could care less if My Classic Car or TV stations come to our event. I'm there for the cars and good friends I've made over the past 5 years and of course to have a great time enjoying the Cobras!

Amen Gsharapa !!!!!
Me to, Great People and a Great Time ....
I had a Doctor call me one time and asked if I could finish his Mach 1 in trade for a big right up in a Magazine with all the fame and glory
Well I guess I am just a legend in my own mind so I told him why don't you pay me $ and you can say you did it .
That ended that .
That's my 2 cents .
