Ok...I'm going try again this year.
The Air Force always finds a way for me to not make it though. I have changed jobs recently that should let me stay at home this year (at least not gone for more than a couple days at a time). Last year, committed in Jan...got deployed third week in Feb...just my luck. At least I made it to the very first one ever. Jesse Brown Wimberley, TX. DownTown Juna Brown WImberley, TX. UpTown Hey there to all who have heard the stories and read the thread of how I have been blessed to be apart of something so good. I hope to get to meet and greet all of you and I would imagine to be called some decorative names just before the word LUCKY. Can't wait till it get's here. C-Yall Then D.T. :MECOOL: Hello to my friend Flyin_Freddie and Jay of jayscobras plus all the wonderful people from the Austin Chapter. If we need help on a route for a tour just let me know I live in the Hill Country just an hour from where the meet will be at maybe we can tour there and have lunch on the square and profile the cars. Great Hill country run and after we could travel across Devil's BackBone to come back to Round Rock. Very Gorgeous view this drive is and nice roads. Let me know if I can help. |
Glad you made the list, DT!
Down Town,
Glad you made the list and committed to come. Too bad you missed last year's event, but you won't miss another one(remember, you don't actually have to have a car to be a member of the club). I can't wait to meet you in Austin, John Russell |
I'll second that DT...
..last year's jaunt through the Texas Hill Country was awwwwsumb...! After driving through 740 miles of rain, the skies parted on Saturday morning and it was blue skie and no clouds from horizon to horizon (Thank You, Royal Rhubarb!). Temps were cool in the AM, but warmed to 70+ by early afternoon. Turned out to be a beeee-yoooo-ti-fill day and a perfect mid-winter outing for a Cobra-phile.
DT...I'm bringin' my credit card....You and Juna's lunch is on me....! Does Arroyo's do crow...?   See ya then....and Happppppppppy NooYear! |

:D jrussell thanks for the kind words of invitation. Me and the wife look forward to being there and hopefully with the car whether I have the speedometer fixed or not. Flyinn_Freddie whether they serve it or not that is a grt choice to finally meet and greet a new friend. Can't wait till then:MECOOL:
DownTown:cool: By the way I got my first speeding ticket in the Cobra the day after Christmas. I was doing toooo fffaaaassssttt or so the state trooper said. He was cool though he liked the car and even took a photo by it, I offered if he would drop the ticket I would let him drive it someday when he could do it. He didn't take it but reduced the ticket so that I could get it off my record. 117 in a 70 he dropped it to 93. Nice Guy!!!! I just couldn't let the corvette beat me, the both of us got a ticket that day, but I won the race!!!Since then I have slowed it down some especially since the speedo doesn't work:JEKYLHYDE |
