Cruise Support
We have several members who can drive support vehicles, but we still need several trailers. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Drivers please email me your cell phone numbers so I can update the emergency list for the packets. csoltko@hotmail.com |
I have a trailer!
I have a trailer built specifically for a Cobra...its available and we can get it to austin but someone will have to pull it from there.
It will likely be pulled behind a bus, not a good tow vehicle! |
Thanks!
Mark & Sherri can tow your trailer. Thanks again for the use of your trailer.
That makes three (Boudy, Rob, and Mark). Boudy, email me your cell phone number. We need to get it on the emergency call list for the packets. csoltko@hotmail.com |
Ed,
We can pull the trailer. Just couldn't make it back to SA to return it. If Ryan can get to Austin we will be happy to pull it around. We have to head back to Houston Saturday night so we wouldn't be able to get it back to Ryan's on Sunday. I've been looking for one to rent around here, can't find one that we could load a Cobra on. Can't wait! Mark |
I can get it to and from Austin w/o problem....just can't pull it when I get there. So, looks like we're set!

Send me a pic of your trailer's electrical connector. I have the big sockect from Ford (pretty standard now) and a few adapters. Just want to make certain before we leave.
Thanks Ryan, we'll see ya' there. Mark |
Tow Vehicles
All tow vehicles HAVE to Have Trailer BRAKES!! :o
It's too much to risk without!! :o The Royal Rhubarb :o |
It's what they call the 6 pin connecter I believe (actually has 7 pins). Pretty standard...for trailer brake applications, 6 pins, one more a little larger in the middle. I have pulled it with a '99 ford before and it had the proper adapter.

I think we're covered. That sounds like the factory tow package kind that comes from Ford or GM now days. I have a old six pin style adapter for old horse/stock trailer connectors. I added the brake controls to the factory setup for pulling horse trailers and hay trailers. My dad has a couple of old roping ponies that go way more than my cobra so I think I can handle the task.

Sounds good!

Thank You All!
I want to thank all those who are providing emergency support for us this year. It's great to know that we have drivers and trailers behind us just in case something happens. It also gives us all a piece of mind while we are all cruising the Texas Hill Country together. Again, thank you all. :)
