Default Houston Caravan planning Help needed

Hey everyone,

Trying to put together a plan for the trip to Austin. If we have enough people going I figured we could have both a north and a south starting point that would meet somewhere in route and roll into Austin together.

I figure we can use the regular Sam's spot as the southern spot but I need an Idea for the Northern meeting place.

Give me some idea of who's making the trip and where we could gather to start from the North side.

Dennis,
We will be striking out from Conroe. Probably take 105 through to Brenham and pick up 290 there. We could hook up on the west side of town where 290 and 36 splits.

Why don't we all meet in Giddings, take 290 west to Elgin, 95 north to Taylor, and 79 west into Round Rock. Comes out right by the Hotel and we don't even have to go through Austin at all. That's the way I came last year and it worked very well. Nice drive.

I'm in...just tell me where and what time to meet you guys. I live in the Galleria area so it is easy for me to hit I-10 and go west or I can go a little further to 290....doesn't matter to me!!
