Who wants to go to Vegas?
Well, I finally get the call that the car is near completion. Now all I have to do is go check it out in Vegas before it is shipped.
By the way ... anyone have some spare change to help me pay for this beer can?

James,
I am sorry but I have to tell you some bad news.
While at SAI this past Friday they were giving tours. Your car was sitting front and center -- a good 30 people had the opportunity and took it to DROOOOLLL all over that car. Oxidized the entire drivers side of the car. They need to start from scratch and start polishing again.
YOUR car is absolutely stunning and made a HUGE impression to everyone who saw it. I think that I took some pictures of it and will send them to you.
Beautiful car !

A polished aluminum Cobra? Seems like a huge liability to me. Just think, if anyone comes close to that thing on a sunny day, they'll get fried!
Keep plenty of sunblock and lots of UV coated sunglasses. You're going to need 'em!
Your car looks fantastic.

Jim:
I was at Shelby last weekend and had the pleasure if seeing your car up close. Car looks great.
Bob Marsh offered to let em drive it!!!
My CSX arrived last week and is scheduled to be placed on the line as soon as I complete the build sheet.
Looking at your car helped me make up my mind on several options I was debating.
Best luck with the car.

I was also at SAI this past Friday, sorry I did not see you there. Was there for about 3 hours with Bob and Gary in the afternoon. Was hoping to do a little driving while there, but the Nascar event put a damper on that.

Jim,
Congratulations on getting your car. My trip to SAI now has me thinking. Damm. I will probably stick to the ERA build, but it has me thinking.
I never realized that Carrol had a fully polished 427 car. I asked how it got the big dent in it. Was told it gets lots of dents and gets fixed whenever necessary.
Did you go through Billy Anderews at HRE?

Jamie:
Car is there, just got to get the specs/build sheet completed this week. I was told it will be ready for shipping by the end of the month.
I did go thru Billy Andrews at HRE. He was true to his word on delivery of the car. Figure it will be another 60-90 days to get the car finished once it arrives here on the east coast.
I also saw Carrol's polished car on the floor, you are correct a few dings here and there, but it gives the car character.
What times were you there on Friday, sorry I missed you.
Only problem I have now, is deciding what to do with the ERA, keep or sell. The wife has raised her eye brow about having two cobra's on the garage.

WOW!!
James,
That is the most stunning cobra I've seen. Can't wait to see it in person once it gets back to Texas.
Congrats!

James, as has already been said you're raising the bar once again. Hope I can jump high enough to touch the bottom of it sometime.
Your car is going to need a "no park" zone around it at the next TCC meet, if it's sunny--otherwise there's going to be a lot of burning fiberglass!

Thanks for kind words!!
Jaime - I will have to let the drool stay on the side because I can't wait any longer!!
Scott - Actually, my wife wanted the car so she could get a tan under her chin while we were driving.
Greggo - Let's hit Vegas when both the cars are ready! Road trip!
Mathew - You can go to Vegas too - Greg and I need your high rolling $$$ for gambling
Jim - Good luck with the new car. watch those options because they add up quick! Get Gary to take pictures and post them!
Keith W - Jeannie and I have missed you! I have heard great things about the BIG addition to your fleet of cars! When I get this car running, we will have to switch cars for a few laps at the next track day! I just gotta drive that yellow monster, or Daytona, or Z8, or one of the M5s, or Cobras, or....
Stretch Wow that is a enormous compliment! Thank you!
Bob, Yup, you know me, it will have a few special color enhancements...
Bob - Between you Greg, Keith, and all the other kids on the block with cool toys, I have a long way to go to catch up!! As for the sun damaged fiberglass, I will ned the aid of a good attorney to help with my indemnity clause for the next TCC event
Dave - Are those cheerleaders "Polish", like Poland (since it is a Kirkham at heart) or is that "polish", like rub and buff?
HIQ - Thanks!
Al - Thanks! We will have to stay in touch to get our injection systems mastered!
Thank you all again!

James,
Why don't you and Jeannie come down to No Problem Raceway next week? I'll have the Coupe, white Cobra and Fab Car GTP cars there. You're welcome to drive all of them. It's also a ton of fun.
Congrats again on your stunning Cobra.

James, better make sure your auto policy has coverage for "glare-related accidents." That is an amazing car. Forty years ago they had black Cobras with chrome bumpers, now you've got a chrome Cobra with black bumpers--
Bob
p.s. Please tell Morris that, no matter how much he buffs the fiberglass on a CSX car, it won't shine like yours. I'd hate to see him hurt himself
