Ford GT
Was in Detroit this week and had one of my buddies take me over to Roush to see the Ford GTs. They had about 8 cars there mostly the mules (Test Vehicles) and a couple of the crash units. Yep they crashed a bunch of cars multiple times.........
Actually had a full frame/chassis setting there. All aluminum and the front and rear clips bolts on, so if you crash the car it's easy to replace stuff. Lots of Ford current product stuff on the GT and you can change the oil an filter (Dry Sump) from the top just leaning in.
The full aluminum belly pan and air flow directors on the front and rear of the bottom of the car is something neat to see. It appear like the original GT 40 if you don't have the belly pan and air deflectors the car will lift the front end around 140 MPH and you can spin the steering wheel as the front wheels are off the ground......WOW.
Really cool visit and saw some other neat stuff but mums the word right now!!!!!!!!!
Ford GT goes into production May 1, 2004 and they are building approximately 1,500 cars the first year.
