Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang

Come in your classic or late model Mustang to greet the Great American Pony Drive featuring a display of Mustangs representing 40 years of America's love affair with the car. Factory tours, refreshments and prizes will be part of the celebration to welcome Mustang owners who are visiting Dallas as a part of their American tour.
Please bring your Mustang or Cobra (replicas included) for North Texas' celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Ford Mustang at the Unique Performance Shelby Continuation Facility on April 22, 2004 in Dallas. The event will begin at 6:30 PM with the arrival of The Great American Pony Drive, which is comprised of European and American owned Mustangs caravanning across the United States, to Dallas.
Unique Performance manufactures Shelby continuation cars based on vintage Mustangs at the facility, which is located at 13950 Senlac Drive in Farmers Branch, Texas.
Activities will include the Pony Drive display, factory tours, food and prizes. Admission is free. The Discovery Channel's TV show "Rides", which is filming construction of the Shelby G.T.500E and G.T.350SR, will record the celebration.
The North Texas Mustang Club, Shelby Cobra Association of Texas and SVT Club have been invited to join the party. Ford Motor Company will bring a 40th Anniversary Edition Mustang and a 2005 Mustang GT to the event. Gotham City Racing's Mike Ashley will show off the Shelby G.T.500E Pro Mod NHRA drag car that captured fourth place in its first race at the 2004 NHRA Mac Tools Gatornationals.
The Great American Pony Drive (
www.ponydrive.us) will begin on April 8, 2004 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and end June 6 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Hundreds of Mustangs will join the caravan at over 40 stops across the continental United States.
