so ........ 392, how many miles did you get on #139 this afternoon ?
Any tales of the adventures you had ? Comparisions between the LSC & the BDR ? |
In actual miles I didn't get too many on it today.
From what the odometer says, the last 24 hours are a different story. Not having a trans to hook the speedometer up to,I have been using a handheld drill. I forgot to turn the drill off last night.**) Have to say it is a lot quieter than my Lone Star. The gas mileage is amazing too. Just wish people would quit tailgating me though. Pushs real nice.:3DSMILE: |
and ....... what sort of speed does it get out of your drill ? |
As I was approaching my first corner this morning,I glanced over from my position on the outside of the drivers door and noticed the speedomter was almost pegged.
I decided at that speed I had better just keep my eyes on the road. |
and it cornered just fine ? ;)
|
# 139 made the corner in great shape, nice Cobra UT, but I blew out my left flip flop.
|
ahh what a fine handling machine #139 must be ...... ;)
Might just have to get me one of those. :) |
AAARGH!
I screwed up my connexion with the TCC for the Tulsa thing. Dammit. I was really looking forward to that. Feeding new friends. It's what I do. Nobody ever left my house or place of work hungry. You are messing with my BDR even though it is lost in the Bermuda Triangle. You have better ComInt than I do. Give it a message: Sweet little ButtRocket, Daddy loves you and will be there soon. Your powerplant is waiting for you in the Republic of Tejas, that's down in Baja Oklahoma. I cleaned out the garage, you will have a snuggly homeplace. Hey, if a Jap high-end bike is a crotch rocket, then BDR#139 will be a butt rocket. I'm sorry, I'm nuttin' out here. It's been four months. I want my baby. Kristen- you and I are kindred souls. UT |
todd, you're doing it all wrong
take a lesson from me, dear uncltodd:::
pick out the cobra you want and 7 days later drive it home. Worked for me, and I "haven't looked back" (literally and figuratively) since. vroom vroom vroom go girl go;) ;) Saw my cobra on a thursday, and the next thursday it was mine, about 8:30 p.m. 3/4/04. to be exact!! be patient, tho''; in the end you'll forget all the waiting, and viola, there she'll be!! (kinda like being preggo and waiting for the baby, done that, been there.... x4) pizza pizza!! ooops! wrong slogan! what's mazzio's catch phrase??? gotta go! kris |
Kris-
Lets' see...... I was Uuuudn...Uuuudn...Uuuudn... in the 60's... Update to '04's- Wannaa... Wannaa... Wanaa... in the lawn chair in my Backdraft test-drive flashback... Then you hit me with "Vroom Vroom Vroom go girl go!" I told you, kindred spirits. Adrenaline junkies. You had to wait a whole seven days? I cut my deposit check in mid-February in Foat Wuth. I want to meet your Better Half- he has has to be one hell of a Dude to stay up with you. Picture it... I am Wannaa waannaa with the Chief of Police in my BDR, you are in Pepe with the Asst C. of PD. doing the "Vroom Vroom thing. The rest of the local PD is on site looking the other way. Sweet. My money is on the BDR- .347 rear-end screws, can't see well enough to do the track thing anymore. You make lots of pretty blue smoke... but the BDR squats down, grabs asphalt, and launches. The stuff of dreams... with pizza all around afterward. But BDR #139 is still lost in the Bahamas. Later, Kristen UT |
bahamas
well, picture yourself on the beach in the bahamas getting ready to fly down the road in #139, into the sunset, with a margarita, no I mean pizza in your hand, listening to the low and hearty grumble of the pipes.....
well, back to reality. Does it make you feel better or worse that Boudy was my co-pilot when I did the "pretend" race around Hallett?? And that we drove tandem all the way down from Tulsa on sunday night? (after collecting various trophies and raffle items,,,, subwoofer, etc.) We had a pleasant drive down. Even if it took a bit longer than i expected.... He had his Backdraft in his trailer, my ERA in mine.... were you hooking up with him to drool over his car?? (i chickened out to ride with him in the road race!!)) maybe next year... the helmet thing and driving fast, and not being the driver and out of control thing kinda got to me.... he took his kid... brave girl, she is, after my own heart.... i adored my dad like that, too........ g'night.... kristen:) :) :MECOOL: |
BOUDREAUX, YOU WEASEL!
If I had know you and Kristen were tooling back from Tulsa, I could have stood in my driveway and heaved rocks through your windshields on the highway. Or waved you in for a shrimp and scallop fresh zucchini stir fry with a nice white Zinfandel. Szechuan/parmesan cream sauce, of course. I hope you enjoyed your Mickey D and the afterburn. You will learn, grasshopper. My friends dine well. UT BTW, Boudy's daughter is a precocious sweetheart almost tall enough to reach the pedals. Look out, World. |
UT
%/ Friends really rub it in. Keeping an eye out if it passes by here. "unclaimed" Bernie |
It'll be arriving in Florida ..... which means it has to pass through Louisiana on its way to Okie .... OHHHH GOODYYY !!!!!
Can everyone say "test drive" ;) We'll try (and I mean really try) to not spill Gumbo or Jambalaya on the seats. :3DSMILE: HLC - I've ridden with him around a track when he's said "watch this" - it was fun !! Found out you can hear the tires above the pipes - all with big grins. He is a brave one - let me drive his demo. ;) Learning this LHD stick thing was fun!! |
UT's 'Promo budjet' to go through the roof!!
Free Pizza **)
Kristen your bill will be small now that I have 'Posted' on the McDonald's Restaurants staff 'email' site... "Free Pizza just drop UT's name. %/ Cheers Bernie |
No, mickey D's for us! I was hoping beyond hope that Jordan would not pick MD's. We thoroughly enjoyed the fine dining experience at none other than Taco Bell. Not sure which town it was in, tho'......
:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: k |
Well, a glass of wine and dinner sure sounds better than rocks through the windshield.
Yes, the missing container was located and is being forwarded on to Miami. Don't feel picked on, this little fiasco happens once or twice a year. Boudy |
Taco what!!!
 Taco bell??
Hey you two, how am I going to get those share prices up at Mickey D.'s Sent Charlie Bell over there to get it sorted out there. Kristen I see a reference to Pepe? New name? I will Post some photos as soon as my car roles out of the paint shop. You should like the colour. Guards... .... At the moment my gallery only contains the old Gelcoat white photos. %/ Cheers Bernie |
Doug-
I'll have a word with Boudy. If he transports #139 himself, I'm sure he would be happy to stop by your place for a test drive. He can push and you can steer. The engine is in Plano, remember? But Boudy is a stout little rascal and BDR's are not that heavy. I'll bet he can crank you up to 4, maybe 5 MPH before his heart stops. I'm going nuts here. I hate "hurry up and wait." UT |
Ha! I bet not. Boudy is all about not pushing!
