very funny Tom, but NOT VERY NICE!!
Today was a beautiful day for a Cobra. Wish I had one. Everybody else does. Well maybe not everybody.... anyway. I'm really starting to miss my car! Pepe's calling: mama! mama!

392cobra 10-14-2004 07:52 AM

Kristen,
Have you checked into conjugal rights with Pepe while he is in Cobra jail ???:3DSMILE:

Gary Morris 10-14-2004 07:59 AM

Kristen....call me!

Gary

hey,littlecobra 10-14-2004 08:01 AM

well, Fred, I think of Pepe more as "my baby" than a hubby, so I hear "mama, mama" not "honey, honnnnneeeeyyyy..."

Kristen, at least you don't have to worry about working on a house in 10 degree weather and a windchill like we do up here. Don't worry, you'll get it, I mean Pepe, back sooner or later :)

James Baldwin 10-15-2004 07:35 AM

Matt, I would like to thank you for the spare parts you provided me for my car. I am not sure where you got them, but thanks.

I really hope the white sidepipes will fit :)

427Aggie 10-15-2004 08:17 AM

No problem James. Let me know if you need anything else...panels are an ugly blue color but I think I can fix that...have a chrome rollbar...oh and a 427SO if you are interested...the toploader is a little used but still probably really good.

Actually I need to call Peter and see where the part is...my guess is that they forgot to ship it :)

Matt

Gary Morris 10-15-2004 10:09 AM

Pepe's caretaker has advised Kristen on how to handle this and by now the part is on the way. Should have used me in the first place.....but then I'm just the caretaker.

Gary

hey,littlecobra 10-15-2004 10:14 AM

It's like this....

hey, Ron! It really isn't that bad.... I was having some maintenance issues taken care of; fix the speedo, install gas gauge (remove fuel pressure gauge), figure out why I couldn't get it in reverse (after track day at MSR), replace manifold gasket (don't know which one!), that's about it. Consequently, had to locate Smith's gauges from Superformance (doug reed) - got new fuel gauge, all new speedo gauge; the manifold gasket seemed to take a while, not too bad, tho', but the problem seems to be the "sender" for the fuel tank--- don't know the details, but which ever one was in there originally worked with a different set of gauges, and now that there are Smith gauges it wouldn't work. So.... KC in Plano had no luck tracking down new sender at ERA, so fellow TCC (dallas) guy (aggie dude) called up there, but evidently the parts guy no longer works there, and my info. got lost in the shuffle. So, again, I called up to ERA yesterday, talked with Peter, and hopefully it is being sent to Big D, KC, as we speak. (well, write). If KC gets it in a timely fashion then maybe just maybe I'll have my car next weekend! Just dropped it off on Sept. 4.....
Now there doesn't seem to be any reason why it wouldn't go in reverse, as they haven't had any trouble at the shop. hmmm. Don't know about that one.... But it doesn't matter, as Jay seems resigned to the fact he will be pushing me wherever we go!:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

So, in conclusion, gentlemen, RETURN all of my parts by Wednesday, OR ELSE!!!!!!

oh, and Jay, those aren't ND colors, they are Baylor colors! sic 'em Bears!!! Was already thinking of that new color scheme. Thanks for having it done for me....:JEKYLHYDE
and, I don't have to rent a Cobra, any of my buddies would GLADLY let me borrow theirs, right guys???
Young Mike, I don't work on ANYTHING in 10* weather.
thanks aggie dude for trying:MECOOL: ;)
gotta go! busy day!!!
p.s. I'm not even gonna be at my own party tomorrow - I'm gonna have Mr. Shelby sign my book! yeehiii!!!!!

hey,littlecobra 10-15-2004 10:17 AM

yes sir, Mr. Morris

well, I didn't know it was an issue, because on my weekly call to KC it appeared to be "being taken care of"! next time I'll call ya, that's fer sur!!!

Kristen,

I hope that you get your Cobra back quickly. You can always come out and drive mine but it would be like driving a Volkswagon Beetle compared to yours. Today is a perfect day here and I wanted to drive up North, but as usual some things came up and now I am stuck waiting for a phone call. I hate it when they say, "We will call sometime before 5PM."

flipper35 10-15-2004 06:07 PM

Don't feel bad, mine has been missing since JUNE! Not that I really drive it that time of year, but it was just to have a new cradle for the radiator and a new shroud. It's getting to good driving weather now.

uncltodd 10-15-2004 06:27 PM

Kristen- If Pepe and Gunrack are mating, I want the pick of the litter. They both seem to have disappeared into the North Texas sunset.

OMG... if Pepe isn't female...

Then Gunrack is...

don't go there, UT.

LwCwb 10-16-2004 06:00 AM

UT, I thought Gunrack was coming home last Saturday. Hope you get him, or her:p , back soon.

Ron61 10-16-2004 06:19 AM

UT,

I just saw a funny looking color Cobra with white pipes that they said came from Texas. Strange looking combo, almost as if two had been taken apart and then some of each used in the other on re-assembly. If I whistle and call Gunrack, will He/She respond??

Ron :D **)
