where did I fail??
ok. the Barbie jeep died a slow, slow death. Sooo, hubby took little cobra girl to toys r us to replace it. She knew what she wanted; A RACECAR!!! Well, seems to be they were fresh outta blue cobras, so they came home with a VETTE!!! yellow, at that.
The only redeeming quality? an AER sticker over the back quarter panel! Thought you'd get a chuckle out of this.... http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...C00619-med.JPG Kristen |
ps. makes the old barbie jeep look pretty ancient. this one has a real fm radio, cup holder, working turn signals and lights, horn, buttons to make major revving and passing sounds, etc. but......
a vette??? puuhleaaase!!! :) |
We just took our son (he's turning 3) to Toys R Us and it was between the Vette, the Kawasaki quad and the Fire Rescue Truck (I wanted to get him something with a real gas engine, but couldn't sell the wife on it - probably for the best). I was able to steer him away from "the dark side" by emphasizing the fact that the Fire Rescue Jeep has a water cannon. The Vette was really nice though - maybe you can get the Kirkhams to do a body kit for it! You could hide speakers in the sidepipes and replace the FM radio with a CD player. Then burn a CD with some nice Cobra exhaust sounds and... Well, you get the picture!

you gotta grow into a Cobra :)
|
Is it real?
   BTW: Look! It leaks oil already! Just like a Chevy to do that... |
Kristen,
That is one very pretty little girl. Is the car battery powered? I got a friend of mine's daughter a Dale Earnheart battery powered car that has two forward speeds and one reverse. Top speed is about 20MPH. She was doing power slides within three days. Drives better than her Father.:) Ron  |
Now all she needs with the Vette is a cel phone.
|
Right. A cell phone and then she could run into Mom's Cobra and have an excuse.
Ron :D |
Looks like she made out.
Just wait till she's 16 and wants a real one. Better than that, the cobra. |
yeah, it's battery powered. Wouldn't have minded the Dale E. one, for sure! I think it's great she wanted a racecar! Not another barbie jeep, or something. When the boys were little, they had a 3 wheeled motorcycle- harley i think- powered by 'power wheels' battery, too. This only has a top speed of 5 +- mph. She wishes she had a cell phone. and yeah, she might be 'the sleeper'. I worry about my sons with the cobra- but she is in it way more than the boys- might end up being her car in the long run!!! I hadn't thought of that, before... thanks, tru! ;)
is it real??? yeah, real plastic! and I think those are water spots, as the last i checked, the oil gaskets looked tight.... or maybe, it's dripping from a little shower with the garden hose!!! K one more shot.... http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...C00621-med.JPG |
I'm glad it's a Chevy......I don't caretake Chevys. Kristen...take lots of pictures Saturday at AER as I was just informed I will be going West tomorrow night to visit by baby!!

keep us posted..... Kristen |
Kristen,
I know where your'e coming from... My oldest child became (gulp!) a Cowboy's fan! Oh, the shame of it all! If only I had been a better parent? Toby |
Kristen:
Maybe you could get Kirkham to rebody it. Wouldn't that be cool. |
HATE TO SAY THIS BUT GOT TO
HEY KRISTEN I DONT SEE A PINK THONG HANGING ON THE REARVIEW MIRROWS LOL :D :D SORRY ABOUT THAT JAMES
|
She is a cutie. You are going to have yor hands full when she is 13 on up.
Get the barbed wire out now and start with the perimeter. |
Nice pictures. Looks like that chebbie has an oil leak.
|
Blasphemy!!! :p
Trust me--your daughter's on the wrong road! :3DSMILE: |
Kristen:
You should send Don Barns a copy of this picture since he is covered up with yellow Vetts. I think his CC is Cobra42 |
It's alright Kristen. The only way you could justify a Cobra body for your girl would be to hang it over a shifter cart. Wouldn't want her starting out on that yet, would you?
