TCC Vets

Wondering:

How many TCC members are in the service or have served our Country?

I served four years and four months (1962-1966) on active duty in the Navy during the Cold War days leading up to Vietnam. I flew RADAR picket planes (Lockeed Super Constellation aircarft modified for the Navy) between Iceland and Greenland. This was referred as the DEW line (distant early warning) back in 60s.

Back in those days, old Shelby was at home making a name for himself, while I was flying my butt off for my Country.

I would like to hear from those of you who served our country during the Shelby/Cobra days, as well as those who are currently serving our Country.

Friends, I am sorry that I butted into your thread. It has just now occurred to me that you were looking for veterans who were members of the Texas Cobra Club and not the Club Cobra in general. My family has not been this invasive into the activities of the South since my great grandfather marched with Gen. Sherman. So about my above post—Never mind. :)

Truly, I do apologize for not reading the tread more carefully before I put my $.02 in.
