Out of town again

I be in Idaho with my family and best friends get ready to pop a Bud lite and say a July 4th toast.

Madmiles442 06-24-2006 08:15 AM

I'm game for a get together. Are we due to show some love to the mid-cities?

jdean 06-24-2006 12:12 PM

How about the Cheddar's on 635 and MacArthur?

If that is not enough toward mid-cities, we could hit one of the many joints off of 121 in Grapevine.

July meet

Hey Guys,
I am up for a meet. Did somebody say Chedders on 635?

jshel1 06-26-2006 08:54 PM

Glad to see the forum back up and good news about another get together.

Cheddar's on MacArthur sounds good.

hey,littlecobra 06-27-2006 05:27 AM

It sure would be cooler if we met at 7-8- a breakfast meet!
Typically, July, August, September are earlier.
Then you're going back home at 10-11. If we meet at 10:30, we go back home in the heat! Ugh.

Isn't there an IHOP over there? We've met there before.
Put in your .02 pretty quick though!

last year in July we met at Cafe Brazil at 7. (that's AM, for you sleepyheads!)
I vote for early! :p
Kristen

(jshel- got it, ok, you're in :) )

July Meet

Early is great for me. Where is the IHOP?

hey,littlecobra 06-27-2006 07:54 AM

ok, John D. you suggested Cheddar's.... what is your preference???
early- IHOP, or lunch, Cheddar's???
I guess I could make an 'executive decision' since I started the thread, but..... Cheddar's was suggested first! :)

392cobra 06-27-2006 08:19 AM

We will be missing this one and maybe the next one.

BEACH TIME !!! :) :D :3DSMILE:

jdean 06-27-2006 08:30 AM

I think the forecast is still hot, so let's do the IHOP at the corner of Old Denton and the George Bush Frwy at 7-7:30-ish if that works for everyone.

Is it a go?

Jim Jacobs 06-27-2006 09:08 AM

Is this the same IHOP we met at last year? Kristen, do you want to caravan?

jdean 06-27-2006 09:35 AM

Here is the location info:

http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?ad...w=1&name=&qty=

hey,littlecobra 06-27-2006 10:50 AM

I don't think it's the same IHOP. that's ok, though.

yes, let's caravan. I think I'm going to give John S. a ride; we will meet somewhere??? John, whaddya think? Do you want to meet at I-30, and drop your car, or do you want to come here?? The Mesquite Baylor at I-30, Galloway would be a 'safe' place to drop your daily driver. (n.e. corner- take the Northwest drive exit, stay on service road, and turn into Mesquite Baylor)

let me know what you think, then we can get more specific. So, Jim, we can 'hookup' at our usual, and then 'toodle' up to get John.

IHOP, 7:30. ok. If you get there any later it gets crowded.
:)
Kristen

I say YEAAH... Breakfast plans sound better than the heat.

We can't count on this mild weather to last much longer. 62° low this evening? probably 102° by lunch on Saturday.

Baylor it is; 6:45 ?

markscobra 06-27-2006 07:53 PM

July Meet

Oh my neighbors are going to love me. There's nothing like the sound of a cold big block Cobra at 7 am. I am almost certain to have every dog barking for a block arournd my house and at least 4 car alarms going off before I clear the alley. I cannot wait! I will have to warn my immediate neighbors and pay them off in beer.

APR's Cobra 06-27-2006 08:27 PM

Early sounds good since no one else in my house is up this early. That way I can get back on go to a BBQ that afternoon and still not get in trouble with the wife.

hey,littlecobra 06-27-2006 09:01 PM

Baylor at 6:45. hmmm. that sounds early...... :( but, I guess that'll do!

Actually, I'm not really on time too much, so it'll be closer to 7 I bet, but I'll shoot for 6:45. You up for this Jim???
And, upon looking at the map, I think this may be where we went last year. I'm not sure it was the IHOP, but we've been somewhere up there. It's a loooonnnnggg way! :p

see ya'll on Saturday--- EARLY! :D

John, I'll PM you my cell#.

man, I need to clean up the car! It still has my dial-in # on the windshield!

Jim Jacobs 06-28-2006 07:12 AM

Hey Kristen - 6:45 is fine with me, do you want to meet at the service station or I can swing by your house? By the way I thought your word painting of your Tulsa adventure was terrific.
