It's Done!!

After a mere 69 months it's finished. I need to get my inspection renewed and then I'll be cruising.

Jim, I had a look at your gallery! She looks great! Have you setup the suspension yet? In all the pics with the car a s a roller, the drivers side, rear, looks 1-2" higher than the passenger. Or is this intentional so that it rides level with only a driver?

Thanks all!

Fsstnotch:
Funny you should ask that. When I looked at these new pictures the first time I saw the same thing, so I went and measured it (again). The fender-to-ground and fender-to-tire measurements are the same on both sides. It's apparently a matter of shadows and perspective. I have no idea whether that was true in the older pictures. I have changed a lot of things since those were taken.

I added a couple more pictures to my gallery with the light on the driver's side. They don't show the odd-looking attitude that you noted. Puzzling.

Ya, that definitely looks even in that pic! Very nice looking car!

Jim that is a very nice looking car. You need to drive it over here to some of our monthly meetings!

Madmiles442 10-16-2007 09:03 AM

Beautiful color!
There's a cruise scheduled for this Sunday, based on the roll call, not sure if it's going to make or not.
But we meet the 1st Sat of each month. Check here for location. We love to meet new snakes!
Congrats!

Beautiful job Barnsnake. Right behind you on the finish.

Nice job, very nice color! It's taken me about the same amount of time to get mine done, I'm right behind you, mine should be done in a few weeks.

Looks like your interior is about the same color as mine, got any pics of it?

Miles:
I'm not sure I'll be ready to head all the way to Corsicana until I get a little shakedown time on it. I changed master cylinder diameters while it was apart for painting and I need to get my brake balance sorted. I'll certainly be watching for the next cruise and I may try to make one of the Saturday gatherings.

Randy:
I don't have any natural light pictures of the interior, but I put a couple of flash pictures in my gallery.

All:
Thanks for the comments on the color. The car changed colors 354 times before I finally decided on one and had it painted. :D
It's Chrysler's Inferno Red Crystal Pearl. It has ghosted gold stripes, but they're almost impossible to capture in a picture.

Barnsnake,

Way to go! Beauuuuuutiful color. I would love to see that ghost stripe. My Lone Star is at the painter (has been for 8 weeks) and should be ready anytime. There are 5 - 8 Lone Stars finishing builds as we speak. Hopefully we will see a date for the Texas Club Cobra meet in Austin soon. Brian at LSC has offered the first round this year at the Oasis!!! Yea. Hopefully you can make that because it is tons of fun in Austin with the Hill Country drive. We have a Lone Star from Phoenix (B.P. Williams) bringing his car that he uses for the track to Austin if the dates work out.

Hope to see that car soon!

Larry

Barnsnake, you're interior looks great too. Looks like the colors are very similar to mine.

Barn$nake 10-17-2007 03:01 PM

Mr. Barnsnake,
That is a great looking RED.
The tan seats and wood dash are awesome.
Are the seats Lonestar?
ps: I like something about your name too!
Happy motoring.

Same color I painted mine! There are a couple of other's on here that also used this color.

Juggernaut:
Yes, the seats are standard LoneStar. BTW... What is the color of your car? It's beautiful. I had pondered a dark teal or BRG.
