Big News!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay to give ya'll some history I was engaged 6 years ago, we spent 3 years together and she had to move, well a couple months ago we ran into each other and started dating again, I dated one other girl to see where my feeling were and they were with Brandie, Well last night we decided to get Married, even though an official proposal has not been made we will be getting married in San Augestine, FL next year.

This is were I need ya'lls support, she knows I am a gear head and love the Cobra's and I want to do something very unique and true to my hobby. John Ross and I fiqued out how to make it special. I want to have a Club Cobra meet special to this and basically have every possible cobra join this Lunch/dinner, where we meet and John will be the last one joining, and when he is given the signal, have him drive up through the isle and stop right in front of me and Brandie (btw the ring will be secured to his air damn and when he pulls through the isle he stops right in front of us where I suddenly kneel down grab the ring and do the proposal. and since ya'll are part of my family now I want every possible cobra and member in attendance.

Once my car is fixed I will set a date, still should be in the 70's -80's during the day for this to happen.

Congrats! Sounds like a nice plan!

LuvDaBlues 10-21-2007 05:27 AM

You're a NUT!!! If I did that when we got engaged, Yancey would of had to help push start my Mustang afterward.

Well I went right shopping yesterday and think I found the right one, it's a color D, princess cut 1.4 carrot in a traditional platnium band.

hey,littlecobra 10-22-2007 07:10 AM

it'll be perfect, Patrick! :)

I 'picked out' my ring (replaced the setting last year) and it has 'cost me' lunch for 22 years! :D
the deals we make....
I'm happy for you. :)

Now would be a good time to go around your house and take pictures of your "prized possessions". Things like your favorite chair,etc..

It won't be long before all those "prized possessions" are magically deemed junk and are sitting by the curb.

Joe Wicked 10-22-2007 10:54 AM

Congrats Patrick. The ring I got Trina for our 10th anniversary is similar to what you described. I know she loves it and most of the other ladies that see it love it as well.

CBattaglia 10-22-2007 11:27 AM

DONT DO IT !

Am I this guys only friend?????

Madmiles442 10-22-2007 12:32 PM

Fred's got great advice. If you've got anything you really cherish, make sure it's on the inventory list to KEEP.
I've had 3 of those garage sales during my life where I saw ALL my furniture leave and hers stayed. Remember, her stuff is "good" and yours is just "bachelor pad"

xracerbob 10-22-2007 01:09 PM

Just remember the standard response to every question: "Yes, you're right, I'm sorry". You don't even have to be listening and you're still fine with this response every time.

So her saying my appliances are not as good as hers and she will be replacing them is just the start?

Well since thats the case I guess I have a really big Garage/Beer refrigerator now:3DSMILE:

You got it Patrick ! That's just the first camel toe under the tent.

There are several stages to the whole process.

After ALL your stuff is long gone and just a memory, another stage starts.
It is based on the old saying "what's yours is our's,what's mine is mine."

She will decide that it isn't right having our house filled with just her stuff.(remember how it all started ?)
So that means it is now time to replace her stuff with "our" new stuff.:)

Madmiles442 10-22-2007 03:41 PM

Them female types call it "nesting", similar to when they're pregnant.

Cleaning out closets and drawers and surrounding themselves with familiar things or new things you've picked out together. Actually she's picked out and you shrugged.
They'll say they're being effecient or displaying their wonderful organizational skills. What it means to us is you better hang on to that 1:36 scale Viper with the cool opening doors if you want to see it again!

FST FOX 10-22-2007 05:30 PM

Well she loves the cobra and RIDING in it and I was joking around with her saying if you make the house to "comfortable" I will cut you off from the Cobra rides, well she replied back that she would cut me off from something else for twice as long:CRY: lol Damn i thought I had an edge there, guess not:3DSMILE:
