Unique Performance is gone

Yesterday there was two cop cars and a crime scene van at Unique Performance and several wreckers hauling off cars. Today nothing but three soda machines and they were loading those up. Rumor has it that they had customer deposits of around 7 million dollars and they weren't delivering any cars. Shelby cut ties with them last month because of so many customer complaints that people had put down deposits, but haven't received their cars. Anybody know the whole story and what is going on?

Perhaps their next "unique performace" will be from behind steel bars, in a dark cell with a 350 lbs lifer named "Bubba."

Canceled their fall car show...KCM was fixin' one of their mistakes last month...owed everyone in town, parts and employees...cash flow???...is this what one calls..."t!ts up"???? It's really too bad. Poor management in this business where margins are sometimes real thin just don't work. Sad.

Those cars were phony pieces of crap, and as someone pointed out, replicas of nothing. Maybe there is justice in this world after all.

phony pieces of crap maybe, but how sad for the stupid....er ignorant folks that laid out 100K- 200K for these cars. They are being taken by owners to several different mechanics around DFW to see if they can be finished.
A fool and his money are soon departed.
I don't know of anyone personally that bought one, tho.

John, the gt500's are not related to the CSX cobra's in ANY WAY. (other than the little cobra on the side of the 500). And..... you pay a little extra to get Shelby to sign stuff.

also, as i've read here, the CSX delivery times have improved, re: Amy's posts. The gt500's come out of Michigan, and are running about 2-3 months after order. Depending on dealer, etc.
