SNOTTY'S ALIVE!! HE'S ALIVE!! I can't say enough about John and his engine knowledge....I say again "Genius." As much as I was looking forward to getting the car upgraded, I really enjoyed watching and working with John. Both he and Elaine have put up with Snotty in taking up half of their garage for a month and in spite of this, they have both become good friends. This was a fun and really cool project that I'll always be proud of. John, thanks again for all you did.
I'd also like to say "Thank You" to everyone for all of the nice comments. I'm picking up Snotty tonight and will be cleaning him up for Saturday's run. Our COBRA family (Worldwide) is the best!! Jim |
Oh yeah I forgot something we found out
Chaplin,
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that although a vintage 289 block is the base, this is actually 306 cubes.....it has a 302 crank/rods/pistons with a .030 overbore. The more cubes helps a bit with the cam I am sure. |
Jim,
I have a friend here in San Antonio that may be interested in the GT40 heads if you still have them. David Keirns |
Hi Dave - those heads were on E-bay for about 10 hours and were gone. All I still have (I think) is the manifold and Holley carb. John Dean is/was going to put those on Ebay if he hasen't done so already.
Sorry Jim |
Jim,
No problem, and he already has the intake. Just thought I'd check. Dave |
