Thumbs up DFW April Meeting - 4/5/2008 - OTB - Lewisville (then Engine pull)

All,

So after I got the day figured out... I guess this is the monthly get together

so...
Lewisville-On The Border
1890 S. Stemmons Frwy.
Lewisville, TX 75067
972-315-8520

If you are coming north on 35 exit 448B (Round Grove/Hebron/3040) and stay on the access road...

Going south on 35 exit corporate, go over highway. Late first Right (drive way) and you should see OTB on the right (near highway). If you miss the drive way, turn right on Lake Pointe then right at next driveway

Arrive at about 10:30 and we should be seated at about 11 am (when the open)

and those that are looking for more fun... when we are done we can head to my house to pull my engine

See you then

Count me in for the lunch and engine pull.

It`s been a while (1993) since I`ve pulled a motor, BUT, I am very auto savvy.
I can also bring extra sockets, ratchets, extensions, breaker bars, floor jack, creeper if need be.
How many engine pull/installs do you have to do to become a full fledged "patch wearing" T.I.T. member?

(being I am just a "prospect" and all)

I'll be there for both as well. Let us know what additional parts / tools you might need. I live in Coppell so I can be "Johnny on the spot" for anything we need.

I will not be able to make it. I thought I was going to the race at TMS but I am not making that either. I have to make a trip to Nebraska on Saturday and back on Sunday. Weekend is going to be spent driving.

Alan and I are out. We have our neighborhood garage sale this weekend. I swore I wouldn't do another one after the last one. But if Alan is going to be able to park the Cobra and GT together, some other stuff is going to need new homes.

Chris,

I should be there. I probably have everything you need to pull the motor but since I plan to be in the Cobra you will need to pick it up. Let me know.

I plan to attend both events, but have not heard from you regarding the engine hoist. If you need it, we have to figure out how to get it from McKinney. I do not have a pickup truck.

Cheers,
Sam

I won't be able to make it this time. I am in Tennessee this week. My father in law had a triple by-pass yesterday.

Hey Chris:

The Texas Installation Team has certain requirements so the user is not charged huge user fees.

A. Have your engine ready for the lift...all the little stuff disconnected.
B. Work space free of stumbling blocks.
C. Ambient temperature comfortable...50 to 75 degrees...no sweat!
D. No little kids to trip over...unless they are novices taking notes for future assistance.
E. Light jazz, blues, or rock 'n roll music as a back drop to dampen explictives.
F. Very cold beer, snacks, and safe and secure parking...somewhat free of inquisitive neighbors wondering "What the .... is going on?"
I. Check with John R., SSSSSammy, John D., Joe W., Patrick ( The nudely wed 2b) and anyone else with sound advice to make the job easier...review your check list with these pros.
J. "J" is for "Jay"...Make sure there is a minimum of 1/5 Red Lable...consultant expense.
K. Kristen will be at a piano recital???? J is really for JShell who is the official photo documentarian.
L. Larry will be there to bring John D. a spare trailer tire/wheel and help out with what ever is needed.

SEE YA SATURDAY

sums it up pretty good. seems like I make every other one of these. Have fun tomorrow and hopefully I will make the next lunch and T.I.T. Job. The nipple (N.P.P.L.) is going to get upset if I keep missing jobs.

Default Why do they call it the "B!tch" Daddy?

Well, grasshopper .. this downhill both directions, off-camber, fish hook turn just seems to bring that word out of people. So Steve, is this what you're gonna do to the B!tch?

Sam
