Gregg,
Just pass this link around and tell everyone else to pass it around. We need to get the word out we want this car back. This is a fun car and the fact that it got stolen effects everyone that is a "Car Guy". It could have been yours that was stolen. We are a big enough group to get the word out to many people. The car was stolen while it was IN the trailer. The trailer has been recovered and the Police are working that area, so we cannot give too much information on that. |
Wow Jay, you are getting more than your share of stolen vehicles lately. When I first saw the Nova gasser I think you had for just a couple of days. It was very well done.
I hope you find both the car and whoever took it. |
Won't be a pleasure to drive, always looking over their shoulder that is.
Can't get far in the internet age. |
Yep!
We just need to get the word out to as many as possible. |

Just sent an email to Racing Junk with all the details, not sure if they help out with situations like this but thought it would be an appropriate site. I'll also alert some of my drag racing friends here in the Baytown/Houston area with the details. |

Posted on the local Mustang board I used to frequent often. I don't really go there anymore as it is full of trolls and idiots that ruined the site IMO but there are still a lot of good guys there.

Thanks Joe,

I have made a flyer that can be copied and posted or handed out.
It is MS Word format. So if anyone wants one just email me and I will get you a digital copy. |
Thanks one and all!!!!!!!
More info on this theft. As Steve mentioned, the car was in the trailer and hooked up to my truck. The trailer was found in Grand Prairie near 360 and I20. Everything inside the trailer was taken, winch, battery, tie downs, spare tire, jack, tools, etc. Even the electric jack on the tongue.
I can now tell you that the rig was parked across the street from my house in a public library lot, fully lit and equipped with video cameras. The police have seen the theft but could not see any plate numbers. The tow vehicle was a dark colored suv either Chevy or Dodge, with two men in it. One was rather large and the other slightly smaller. The theft occured at 2:24 am on Monday morning. Police suspect that the criminals either know me or know of me and my movements. I certainly hope that this is not the case because they WILL be caught and prosecuted. I doubt that the car will ever reappear in entireity. It is too unique and well know in this area's racing circles. It is definitely one of a kind. Please keep your eyes out for any parts that might be offered for sale at swap meets, ebay, craigslist ,etc. that might be off this type of "gasser" Any and all help is very much appreciated. Jay |
And folks, don't forget racingjunk.com
|
Jay,
I added the above information to my post on the stang board. |
The car is well known around here but it may not be recognized in other places around the country.
We need to keep posting this information on other sites until we get a resolution. From all the many, many emails I have been getting back, there are a lot of nostalgia type races this coming weekend. So keep your eyes peeled this weekend for trailers going to the racetrack or car shows. |
That sucks. I'll take it international and look for it on the streets Baghdad!
