wow, congrats to you and best wishes to John and his new adventure!

Peter's best friend (who lives here a lot of the time) leaves for Navy basic in Michigan on 7/21. he is nervous and excited! He is hoping to go into Seal training.

It sounds like the Navy is an excellent branch in which to enter. Hoping to hear great things from you very soon!
My best, Kristen :)

Wow, time flies... Doesn't seem possible that he is old enough. Congrats on the great move and experience that will go with the territory! All the best

Here's the latest news

Yesterday, John's recruiter brought his new contract which has been signed. He has been accepted into the Nuclear field and his new date to leave for Basic training will be April 16, 2010. With this new contract he qualified for the maximum bonus of $25k and will automatically be bumped to E-4.
Kristen, call me on my cell & I can give you some insight about the Special Ops groups. John also qualified Special Ops and has joined in with them for the training that goes on here 2 to 3 times a week. If Peter's friend has not been involved with that he will have a tough time.
Thanks everyone for all the support...it is a bit humbling.
